Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

1415 AC

After my discussion with Odin, it took a while for things to get normal between us. It was something I expected since both of us wouldn't know how to really interact with each other after such a conversation and would lead to our relationship turning awkward.

Our tenseness with each other led to the whole household being awkward, luckily it didn't last long otherwise I would have taken a several-year vacation to some planet.

The positive thing I got out of this was the casket of always winter as an apology gift. The thing enhanced my ice magic to insane degrees, enough that I could finally eclipse Elsa's power.

Just the thought that a Disney princess is better than you in a form of magic your kind is known for is enough to bring shame to the most shameless of people.

The reception to Jormungandr was well. Frigga was just happy she had a grandchild and Thor loves snakes and I didn't stab him as the original Loki did so his love for them hasn't diminished. The Asgardians just think he is someone that likes using magic to transform into a giant snake since he had taken the shape of a normal Asgardian a few times and I am not going to correct them.

My son has managed to grow to the height of 822 meters and spends a lot of his time in the seas of Midgard or the lakes of Asgard. Honestly, I didn't add any aquatic life genes in him, yet he behaves much like a fish. He is invisible when he is above the surface so the humans on Midgard aren't a problem.

Fortunately, he doesn't neglect his studies so I can't complain and it is better than the quirks I had when I was his age. I remember when Thor first got Mjolnir and felt that he was unstoppable and kept annoying me so I returned the annoyance, by turning him into a woman. So compared to me, Jormundandr chose a nice hobby.

Aelsa my lover was a bit jealous that my first child didn't pop out of her and she doesn't know he didn't pop out of another woman either. I could have told people that I created him with nothing, but science and magic, but that would give people an idea of my capabilities, since creating life and a soul is extremely difficult and not a lot of people can do it.

I don't want people to know I know soul magic since that would make them want to get a defence against it if they are going to fight me and a lot of people find the manipulation of the soul a taboo. Even though Aelsa has been with me for a while doesn't mean that I fully trust her, I don't even trust my family wholeheartedly.

My bounty hunter unfortunately died, but he at least lived a few centuries. He could never get revenge on the people who murdered his family, truly a tragic story I think to myself completely ignoring the fact that I was the one who did his family in.

He did a good job getting samples from across the universe, but when he heard about the mad titan he wanted to get his samples. Their fight was so big that it was mentioned in a few history books. It was probably the biggest challenge Thanos faced, but he ultimately won, not gaining any permanent injury. My champion sadly bit more than he could chew and died, at least I got intelligence on Thanos' capabilities in case he tries some of his universe balance nonsense. Even though the Omnitrix is quite a versatile weapon, it didn't have the lethality to kill the Titan.

The only reason Vilgax was alive for so long is that I let the Omnitrix turn his original form to an Asgardians, so he can't complain in the afterlife of me only bringing negativity into his life. The samples of the beings that Vilgax was quite a time consuming so I just delegated it to my Oracle or my clones.

I dismiss my depressing thoughts and begin to focus on the task I am currently busy with. I could have done this a while ago, but it wasn't needed and over the years I may have become a bit of a lazy bastard since I got so used to sending clones to things for me. The reason they aren't doing this is because this task is special and intimate. So I want the honour of doing it myself.

The task is creating a weapon worthy for me. I could have gotten the dwarves to make it, but it would be more special if created by myself and I wanted something to motivate myself to learn blacksmithing.

I unpack the uru I stole from the dwarves and vibranium I stole from Wakanda. Both metals have unique properties; Uru was more durable, good for enchantments and magic as a whole; Vibranium is vibration absorbent as well as deflect kinetic energy. Two nearly indestructible metals with special properties would make for an excellent weapon.

I had a nearby sun, the technology to be able to use the sun in the forging and the metals. It took me a day since I saw no need to rush. What awaited after the day was a beautiful two-handed sword. That was what a fool would assume since the truth is that my weapon could take the form of different types of weapons.

"Haha, isn't it a beautiful Oracle? Truly worthy of being my creation." I say while radiating happiness and satisfaction.

"As expected of the master, I would advise caution lest everyone around you dies of envy." Oracle the ever-loyal AI says.

"Poor Thor, he was so smug about that hammer of his, now his hammer will move from the second-best weapon of Asgard to third." I say. "Let's forget about budget Zeus for a minute and apply all my enchantments. Since no tech is perfect without tech and vice versa."

"You and your magitech sir. I am surprised all the maidens aren't jealous of that relationship."

We continue to banter while I work on applying all the necessary enchantments. It has the same enchantments as Mjolnir except the worthiness is replaced by loyalty so only I and people I allow can use it. Like Mjolnir, it also acts as a foci to channel my powers better, in my case my magic.

"I will name thee, Sortem meaning fatality. For that is what you will inflict upon our enemies, my precious." At last part of the sentence I just ogle obsessively at it while willing it to change forms in different kinds of weapons.

"Weren't your words to Thor that only cunts name their weapons." I faux-glared at Oracle's holo image for pointing out my hypocrisy.

"Maybe I was a tiny bit jealous, but I understand now. How can such a magnificent thing not get a name?"

After that I decided to upgrade the Omnitrix, making it entirely from nanotech. Anyone who will see me transform will only think I am using magic since the device is so tiny that it is impossible to see.

I spent the next few days testing Sortem in my danger room. Fighting hard-light constructs can be fun and educational, but I needed something better to fight to test out Sortem. My eyes sparkle as I get a brilliant idea.

I always wanted to meet this person but saw no reason too and I think she could be the perfect test subject to test Sortem with.

"Oracle, get the ship ready. Set a course to Niflheim, it's time to visit." I say before breaking out a devious grin. "Dearest Sister, our fight will be legendary"
