"I don't know why the heck nobody is serious in this office when it's time to work." Marissa slapped the file on the table. She was fuming with anger, no work had been done this week because Stephanie was on maternity leave, Jacob was in the hospital, and Nate was taking a week off for God knows why – probably he was so embarrassed to show his face after the 'incident'.
She dropped herself on the chair and rubbed her temple. She was sleep-deprived because it was time to hand over the project and still so much work was pending. She pressed the phone to her ear and dialed the number of the phone on Penelope's desk.
No matter how much I hate that girl she's actually very brilliant and does everything with such perfection. She thought to herself.
"Yes?" Penelope spoke and brought her back out of her thoughts.
"Can you please come to my office with your laptop?" She said softly and placed the phone back.
Moments later Penelope knocked at her door.
