I smiled as I looked at my status, this was the result of us questing continuously for about a week straight. If a normal native had seen our status, they probably would be shocked to see our status.
Osiric had said that without his two high power blessings, even he would have been left behind, especially since both Emma and I get +20 stat points per level combined with our already high +6 passive stat increase we get.
If we were to compare our stat together, you will find that we had quite the different stats. Osiric, despite being the swordsman and the vanguard, had the weakest defense stat and had the least amount of hp.
While Emma, who is the squishiest class in the world, somehow has the highest defense stat. "So Osiric; where do you want to go today?" I asked him.
"I seriously want to take a break, especially after that week of continuous grinding." Osiric said as he stretched himself more.
"Yeah, I also agree with him." Emma said as she looked exhausted, even though she wasn't.
"How about we take a break?" I asked them, but before I could even complete the sentence, they had already yelled 'Yes!'.
Everyone in the guild looked at us with a weird eye; but were quickly turned away as they saw us.
We had gained quite a reputation in the past week. We even had the tile of 'Quests Stalkers' due to the amount of quest we were taking. Somehow, Emma had made both me and Osiric agree to stack quests together and made us grind non-stop.
We even had Osiric run full-speed so that we would be able to complete quests without going past their dead-line. Osiric looked out of shape a couple of times, but Emma had quickly healed him.
I would later find out in a year, that Emma had somehow used the unique skill [Law of Truth] on us.
"Man, that was a hectic week. I really want to chill for some days." I said as I went to the receptionist completing the quest.
"Thank you." the receptionist said as she took my card and marked the quest as completed.
[You gain 400 exp for completing the quest.]
[You gain 5 gold coins]
[300 until level up.]
The quest we had just completed was a high-rank quest. It was a subjugation of an orc village. I didn't want to do it ever again.
Osiric had even said that the quest would give him nightmares for a while, I knew what he meant because he had to fight about 100 orcs at once. He couldn't even kill them because there was that fucking rat bastard who gave them a massive boost to their defense making them almost unkillable unless you completely vaporized them, or used an attack with massive amounts of mana.
Osiric had ran out of magic after killing the orc chief and was forced to fight against 100s orcs, because they had knocked us out. He also had to run like hell, since I had to bombard the orcs with high-power aoe attacks for 30 minutes straight.
The aftermath was everything being leveled in a radius of about 150m, the ground had massive craters, and the once lush part of the forest was barren.
I had wasted about 3,000 mana with that attack; I could only do that with my cheat skills and the massive amount of mana I had.
"Do you have any materials you want to sell?" the guild lady asked us. The orc village had gotten us a lot of high-quality materials, we could have gotten more if that rat bastard hadn't buffed the orc, which forced us to completely atomize all of them.
Osiric had gotten soo depressed, he had to be alone for 10 minutes.
"Yes." I answered.
…
"Tyler, let's buy ourselves some new gear. Our old gear won't be able to handle it if we have to put up that shit ever again." Osiric asked me as he sneered at our recent quest; fuck that rat bastard.
If he is still alive, I will fucking torture him to death. I have Emma here, so I don't have to worry about the torture killing him; I can also easily get Osiric's and Emma's permission if he was the one.
"Sure, we have gotten a lot of money this past week. We can afford to spend a lot of money on equips." I answered, in this past week we had earned about 1 platinum, or 100 gold coins.
That's like 1,000 times higher than we had started with. Most of the money was made by gathering, I mean the first quest had gotten us about 4 gold coins; it didn't even take us 5 hours to do it.
Due to Emma convincing us, we also hadn't touched any gathering quest for the last 5 days. I really wanted to do a chill gathering quest and relax for a while.
"Tyler, aren't we close to F-rank." Emma said to me.
"Yes, we are. All that questing made us completely neglect the points we were collecting." I answered, due to the massive amount of quests, especially subjugation quests, we had gotten about 98 points, or about 20-30 quests. We were pretty close to reaching 100, which meant that we can be promoted to F-rank.
The guild ranks were very helpful, since they not only gave you better quests, card, and more respect. They also gave you better deals, a monthly income of about 100 silver, or a gold coin, and finally a free house, even if it was small.
"No way I am going to be doing any quests for about a week." Osiric said a little angry, "You guys made me run for hours straight to get the quests checked out by the receptionist. Do you even know how much pain I was in? I ran fast as a horse for 8 hours straight the day before yesterday. When I had finally checked the quests out, my legs were broken."
"Sorry." Emma and I apologized to Osiric with a wry smile.
Due to the deadlines, we had to make Osiric run for kilometers to check out the quests or we were going to suffer some serious penalty. Osiric looked dissatisfied but he was pretty happy as well.
The grind had made most of his skills level 5, which was insane, and his sword skill level 6. Osiric was still the strongest one in the party, though it wasn't as much as it was in the beginning.
We walked for a while, I was thinking for a while and when we were before our inn; I said, "Hey guys how about we go to a hot spring for a week."
Osiric and Emma looked at me, staring right into my soul. I made get chills running down my spine. I gave them a wry smile.
"Tyler you are genius." Emma and Osiric said together.
I nodded and gestured them to go back to our room to plan it. We entered the Inn – which I was pretty proud to find. The inn was about 4 stories tall and had lots of rooms. The inn was a high low-end inn. It was only 10 copper per day, or 3 per month. With food, it was about 4 silver per month.
We could have stayed at a mid-range inn, but we didn't since they were far from the guild. The city was divided into about 4 districts; they were circular and were separated by a wall, it again made me remember about attack on humans.
The place where you can find mid-range inns was the 2nd district, the second innermost one. While the adventurer's Guild lied on the 4th district, the outermost one. Due to sheer size of the city; they would have to walk about an hour just to reach the guild if they had stayed in a mid-range inn.
They didn't worry about equipment, since they could just buy it from their cards.
We went to our room, it looked like how an average person room would look back home. There was a bunk bed, since all of us were staying in the same room. Emma also had her own personal bed. The furniture all looked average, all in all it was a good stay.
"So Tyler, where are we going to?" Emma asked me, ready to go to a hot spring after the previous week.
