It was Monday morning, Lily picked her phone and purse and left her apartment. She was finally going to resume work. Eve left a day before after lecturing Lily on how she should take good care of herself.
"If you feel any form of discomfort, please let me know. Call me," Eve advised.
"I will be fine mom. You do not need to worry about me," Lily reassured over and over again.
"Always keep your mobile phone close to you. I will be giving you a call once in a while to check up on you," Eve continued ignoring Lily's assurance.
"Okay mom. My regards to dad," Lily hugged her mom goodbye. She still loved her regardless of what secrets she might be keeping from her. Lily wouldn't let this issue get in between her relationship with her mother.
