Mia saw our eyes left her to look at the person behind her. She turned too and her confident smirk was soon replaced by fear. She changed direction and quickly walked away.
Why did it look like Mia was scared of Saddam. We all know he was weird. Normally, she was cautious around him but not scared. The look on her face showed fear.
Saddam walked past us and even waved boyishly at Laila and I.
Then I remembered Laila was about to say something before Mia appeared.
"So what were you saying?" I asked her urging her to continue from where she stopped.
"Tariq cheated on me with Mia," she confesses.
"Wow!" I exclaimed pretending not to know about that. How could I have said it. oh I actually walked into Tariq and Mia going at it in the restroom? or maybe, oh yes. I caught them fu*king. No big deal?"
