'It's not possible that this world is an infinite desert is it? Or maybe the size of the world itself is just much larger. Another possibility is that it just seems larger now that I'm a tiny goblin.. Speaking of which, I think I know what I'm going to specialize in this life. In my previous lives I mainly focused on conquering and gaining strength to reach the peak.. In this life.. I want to learn. I want to learn the secrets of humanity, the black smithing techniques, the rune crafting ways, the language of all species on this world, the laws of the universe! This time.. I won't be reaching the peak from training my body and honing my skills, I'll be reaching the peak from learning every secret of the universe! But.. of course I have to have some skill otherwise I'd just be stepped over by higher beings. I already have a plethora of plans to initiate to counteract this..'
Xen had a bad habit of getting zoned out into his thoughts and often forgot to eat or drink due to this habit and as well as not needing to in his previous lives. As he was focused on bettering himself he saw in the distance a black mass that turned clearer by the second.
"Enemies? I shouldn't make baseless assumptions.. I'll see who they are soon enough after all."
When the masses were close enough to be recognized, what appeared before him was two tall monsters, or people, he couldn't really tell as they were tightly wrapped in all areas by brown cloth. They were both wearing enormous backpacks that made them look smaller than they actually were. Compared to Xen these two were giants!
The two beings stopped and looked at Xen, he did the same in response.
"Trade?" One of them said.
'Ah.. merchants. No reason for me to be flooding them with this much killing intent then.' Xen sighed.
"Show me what you have for trade first." Xen replied.
The two merchants took their backpacks off and sat it on the sand, as it sunk quite deep due to the backpack clearly being extremely heavy.
"Be more specific, we have quite a lot." The other merchant replied as he opened up his backpack.
"What kind of daggers do you have?" Xen stroked his chin.
Xen wasn't an idiot, he was quite aware that he himself had no money, but the cloak he currently had on himself was something quite valuable. It was a enchanted cloak after all, the materials were quite shoddy but the enchantment itself would be of great importance to sell to magicians to study.
The merchants took out a mat that summoned stone beneath it, this was clearly a quite expensive item that merchants used in order to ensure a clean surface. The merchants laid out 10 different daggers of varying builds onto it and Xen's face turned to one of shock.
"This.. why is this here?"
