Chapter 8 - Sold!

What met Xen's shocked eyes was a weapon he knew with all too much familiarity. The weapon that he discovered from a random merchant happened to be one of the daggers from the set he used at his peak during his first life!

The dagger's name was Lunar which was the second dagger to the Time set, the first being Solar, when one possessed both daggers they would be able to eventually be able to utilize a hidden skill with the set that was titled Eclipse.

'How could this be possible? That set was one of a kind.. Is it possible that I reincarnated to the same time and world as my first life? That doesn't seem to be the case.. I don't recognize this desert.'

'These merchants must not know the true worth of this weapon, in it's present state it isn't being channeled with waves of magic, causing it to just look like a bunch of metal.' Xen smiled.

Not only would this weapon fix his inability to defend himself from basic monsters but he would also be able to eventually find the other dagger to the set if it was within this world.

Xen took off his cloak and placed it in front of the two merchants, they instantly shook their heads and sighed.

"What use do we have with a destroyed cloak?"

Xen slightly chuckled in response to this. These two stupid merchants..

"Run some mana through it." Xen replied with a serious expression.

'These amateur merchants are an embarrassment.'

One of the merchants grabbed the cloak and run his mana through it and within seconds it began to glow a blue light. The merchant's eyes opened and they gasped.

"Enchantment!" one shouted, the other shouted "This is a treasure!".

Inwardly they began to laugh to themselves. This tiny goblin was going to sell this treasure for a lump of metal.. Goblins are truly an idiotic species.

The merchant regained his composure and turned on his 'scamming' mode.

"Are you sure you want to trade this lump of metal with this treasure?" The merchant was attempting to gain complete control of this transaction. If the goblin saw his shocked expression, surely he wouldn't trade it anymore.

"You're right! I can't just let you take such a rare treasure from me for just a common dagger, do you have any basic armor that would fit me?" Xen replied sounding quite intelligent in his way of speaking for a goblin, this made the merchants feel a bit nervous due to this, Goblins normally replied like cavemen after all.

The merchant smiled and took out a set that was usually used for dwarves and handed it to Xen, the material was just iron so it wasn't that expensive.

Xen laughed inwardly as he handed his cloak to the two merchants. He then grabbed the dagger and put on his armor, after that he began walking once more. Luckily, the armor seemed pretty lightweight to him.

The merchants put away their stuff and walked away, once they were far enough they began laughing. An enchanted treasure which was worth one hundred thousand gold piece was just traded for one thousand gold pieces! Today was surely the luckiest days of their lives!

Xen also did something similar, to be able to find something so nice in the desert, it was clearly going to be the luckiest day of this life he was living.
