Every morning Juno would do her hair. As a child slaves often took care of this remedial task but once she began traveling with Alexander it was a luxury lost.
Having now stopped off for a few weeks in a medium sized town Juno felt more relaxed and had far more time on her hands.
Tovuo had made it clear that Juno could leave but Alexander had to stay in the room. Immortals where twice as tall as regular folks so they drew a lot of attention. Tovuo wanted very little attention to ever come his way.
"why don't you go out with him when he leaves?" Alexander asked looking quite vexed as he checked his scrolls.
"but you are my teacher I should follow you." She exclaimed looking angry.
Alexander stood up crossed the room sitting in front of Juno. "Us immortals are not like the dreams of the mortals. We cannot block the sun or move the moon. We are born into this by blood, what he is, it is different. His is natural, progressive. He can only become this strong by overcoming adversity. I can no longer be your mentor when I, myself need to learn. If you would like I can give you the requirements to follow Hermiadies but honestly," Alexander looked off to the doorway. "only a fool would leave the side of a titan."
Juno looked confused and was about to question further when the door opened and Tovuo walked in.
Alexander rushed over and began to serve his needs. First cleaning up after his entrance and second asking of his daily exploits.
"Do immortals have special weapons?" Tovuo asked ignoring Alexander. "Like things that move water or cause lightning?"
Alexander laughed. "I was just explaining something similar too Juno you see, gods are not as mortals perceive them. The stories you would have learned all your life are not accurate. Controlling things like water and lightning are impossible."
"not impossible just currently improbable," Tovuo responded walking over to a chair by the window. "then besides the longer life and larger bodies what makes mortals and immortals different?" he asked looking stern.
"we are not at all different. Simply we grow larger, stronger and we live longer."
Juno seemed angered by the conversation but kept to herself.
"then we shall stay here for one year while I learn the trades." Tovuo said moving to the bed to sleep.
Juno boiled over. "Trades! For a year! What's wrong with you?" she screamed.
Tovuo remained calm; "simply put I need to gain a better understanding of weapon making. If there is time I would also like to consider studying alchemy."
"I hate you!" Juno yelled storming out the door.
Tovuo stood up off the bed and walked to the door just catching a glance of Juno running down the stairs. He turned and quickly moved to the window.
"Alexander I would like you to follow her." Tovuo said sternly without looking back.
"but sir,"
