Hupo's face was stark pale.
She knew that what had happened before caused great harm to her mistress.
Before the marriage, she was incredibly happy. Hupo had never seen her that happy again.
But when her mistress married Prince Qin, the prince did not even spend a night with her. And on the second day, he actually sent her to Shangqing Temple.
Even Hupo, who was just a servant, was shocked and angry. Then, on the first day at the temple, her mistress became so terribly ill that she could not get out of the bed.
With time, she got better, but her personality changed.
When Hupo heard her mistress saying things like that, she did not try to continue persuading her. If she did not want to go back, then let it be. Once they had enough money, she could open a sewing shop, and they would be able to plant their footing.
Chu Yue did not know about her maid's naive thoughts.
She just wanted to set a foundation that she would be parting ways with Prince Qin because she was now mortal enemies with him.
As for whether it was possible for her to not go back just because she did not want to? It was impossible. As long as Prince Qin gave the order, she did not have the power to fight back.
Hence, she wanted to lay with the monk as soon as possible. If she really became pregnant with his child, even if Prince Qin did not want to divorce her peacefully, he would have to.
As for casting her off? That did not exist. He could only divorce her peacefully. If he refused to, she would make him the father of a child that did not belong to him!
But the monk was boring. He could hold himself back really well.
Chu Yue cast aside the matters of Prince Qin's mansion.
During the day, she did her tasks properly by cooking for the monk. Sometimes, she stayed around, while at other times she went back early so Hupo would not worry about her. But when night came, she went over to show herself in front of the monk.
Hupo went to sleep early. She was usually in bed when it was just a little over eight, so Chu Yue left when it was around nine o'clock.
The same thing happened that night as well.
When the monk saw her come over, he said, "I made a bowl of soup. Have some."
Chu Yue was not wary of the monk at all. She did not bother him when he was copying scriptures and just drank the soup as she sat by the side. It was sweet and rather tasty.
Chu Yue waited for some time before she asked while yawning, "Master, haven't you finished copying the scripture?"
Her body was really weak.
It was just a little past nine o'clock. If she were in her previous world, nightlife would not have even started at this hour.
But she felt tired.
The monk noticed that as well. When he saw that her eyelids were falling shut but she still persisted in her wait for him, he felt resigned.
Soon, Chu Yue fell asleep on her couch, but Qin Heng had yet to finish copying the text. It took him another thirty minutes to be done with it. He then went over to cover Chu Yue with a blanket, but he did not bother her.
