Meet Alisha a seventeen year old American who lives in Pullman Washington blah blah blah
"Alisha!" My mom shouted stomping her way up to my room. I quickly grabbed my sling bag and put on my converse.
"I'm coming" I half-yelled, opening the door only for my mom to fall on the ground. I bit my lower lip to hold back my laughter but...it doesn't work.
"Hahaha" I barked out holding my stomach with my left hand and the door with my right hand to steady myself. She quickly stood up red-faced and squared her shoulders.
"Uhmm, your breakfast is getting cold and you're almost late for school. You're not going to catch the school bus and I'm already late for work. Your dad left early and_"
"Chill woman, Jeannie is picking me up" I glanced at my wrist watch " in ten minutes" I said stopping her from her rant.
"Oh, better. Just hurry up" she said waving me off. I rolled my eyes when she turned around so she wouldn't see me.
"I know you rolled your eyes woman" she said going down the stairs. I groaned and rolled my eyes again fixing my bag shoulder and taking the stairs in twos.
"So what did you make?" I asked her while pulling out a chair at the dining table
"Pancakes and bacon, not to forget... Your coffee ma'am" she replied placing the food in front of me. I can't go a day without coffee and she knew just that. I stretched out both arms for a hug.
"You're the bestest mom in the world" I said placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Is that even a word?"she asked hand on her hip
"Whatever shoo shoo, go dress up woman" I said hitting her back lightly.
"Hey!" She pouted flipping me off.
"What a mom" I chuckled shaking my head.
"You love me sweetheart" she said with a wink and made her way upstairs. When I was done, I kept the dishes in the sink, grabbed my phone and texted Jeannie.
Where are you bitch
I was about to put my phone in my back pocket when it beeped.
In front of your house - Bes
"Shoot" I said. "I'm leaving mom, see ya" I called out.
"Have a nice day, be safe" she shouted back. I smiled even though she wouldn't see me and left the house
"What's up girl? Ready for a great day?" Jeannie asked.
"Of course" I replied in a high-pitched voice fist bumping the air. Note the sarcasm please.
"Well get your fine ass in the damn car and let's rock n roll" she said looking at me from my head to my stomach checking my attire. Her everyday routine.
"Hurry up let me see what you're wearing ass hole" she smirked knowing that I was wasting time on purpose.
"Fine" I said opening the car door.
"Well, you look...you" she said after looking at my pink hoodie, ripped blue jeans and pink, white and black converse. My hair is in a ponytail style. Sometimes I just wonder why she has to check out my dress code every freaking day. I have a great sense of fashion.
"Can we just go?" I groaned resting my head on the head rest.
"Okay okay... Sheesh. Someone's panties are in a twist" she replied starting her pink convertible. Yeah, she's from a wealthy home. The drive to school was thankfully silent. I just wasn't in the mood to have an ear full from my lovely best friend.
"And here we a..." She trailed off
"Holy shit, Jordan Ink looks hot as fuck today" she practically screeched. Yeah screeched, 'cause my ear drums feel like they're about to burst
"What the fuck girl? You should just walk up to that guy and proclaim your undying crush for him. Instead of trying to make me deaf every single day" I said throwing my hands around to prove a point and got out of the car.
"You've got to admit it, he looks hot" she said running to my side.
Trust me I know
"He looks like fucking smiggles" I countered walking through the hallway to get to my locker.
"I'll meet you during lunch. Bye fine ass" she said smacking my butt and giggled like a fucking high school girl. Oh yeah, she's a high school girl. I quickly grabbed the books for my before-lunch classes and left for my math class which I had first period. I love math. I'm a fucking math goddess. Yup, that's what I am.
"Fuck!" I groaned when someone bumped into me.
"Watch where you're going" good fucking shit, can today get any better? I just bumped into Bryan Woods. The school's hottest guy and football captain.
"Actually, I should be the one saying that. You zoned out while walking. I mean, who does that?" The green-eyed idiot asked resting his whole weight on his left leg and folding his arms with a stupid smirk on his face. I picked up books and walked past him. I wasn't in the mood for any drama today or tomorrow or the whole week in fact.
"A simple sorry would have done the trick" he yelled from behind me. I simply shook my head and walked to class. I was five minutes late.
Let me make this clear. The school has three guys that every girl has a crush on except me of course and boys who envy or admire them. Bryan Woods, Jordan Ink and Declan Smith. Everyone loves them, except me of course. They're just too...I don't know, them? But Jordan has a very good sense of humour. He's funny. Don't ask me how I know. I don't stalk him I swear, I just happened to notice. All my classes went by quickly and it's finally lunch time.
"Hey Bes!" Jeannie shouted from behind me. I turned and gave her my smallest smile.
"What are we having for lunch?" I asked her. We had this tradition of one person picking out lunch for a week and this week is her turn.
"Ice cream and chips"
"Okay" I said. The cafeteria was noisy...as always. Students walking around, gisting, eating, yelling and every other thing teenagers do in a school cafeteria. We got our food and went to an empty table at the far end of the cafeteria adjacent to the "boys" table. Nobody sat on this table 'cause it "out of bounds" for lower students. But hey, it's the only free table so the fuck.
"Lis, you know we're not supposed to sit here right?" Jeannie said looking around us as some students started staring and whispering trash amongst themselves.
"Who cares this is a table for God's sake. Now sit down and eat" I replied coldly not looking up from my food. Oh, how can I forget my precious chocolate bar. I brought it out from my bag and took a bite immediately.
"Can you go a day without chocolate?" My best friend asked tilting her head to the side with her left eyebrow raised.
"Nope" I replied popping the 'p'
"Just what I thought" she said with a small smile that reached her blue eyes. She had just plucked her brows two days ago, so they were still arch-like. Her blonde hair was in large curls making it looks fuller than it is, with brown streaks. She wore a floral gown that stopped just above her knees and a fancy sandals. Oh and her anklet. She doesn't go a minute without it.
"Quit zoning out" she said snapping her fingers in front of me. I groaned rolling my eyes and continued eating my ice cream.
"Oh my God, oh my God!" She whisper-yelled fanning herself.
"What is wrong with you now?" I was really getting angry with her every minute squealing, shouting and screaming.
"Bryan Woods is staring at you" she replied tapping her manicured nails on the table.
Huh? The fuck?
I slowly turned towards his table and our eyes locked. I rolled my eyes and flipped him off.
"WHAT. DID. YOU. JUST. DO?" Jeannie asked with wide eyes.
"Fuck you? Wasn't it obvious or should I stand on the table, call his name and then shout it ?" I replied leaning back on my seat and folding my arms under my chest.
"Why don't you do it?" A deep voice said. Well well well, if it isn't Bryan Woods.
"Trust me you wouldn't want that to happen now, would you?" I said looking him straight in the eye.
"Like I said, why don't you try?" He replied with a smirk. Oh boy, he's sooo going to get it.
