Ceres
9:30 am
"You summoned me, Father?" I asked when I opened the door after I knocked once at the Alpha's office at the main old house.
"Yes, come in and please stop calling me Father." Gregory said while scanning a pile of papers on a clear book which I just chuckled as I entered the office.
"Dad, maybe?" I sort of teased him that made him shake his head as he sighed then he put down the file that he had been reading before meeting my gaze.
"Father is fine." He answered.
As I went inside then took a seat at the table where he was reading the files earlier. I was at my silent pace and patiently waited for what he was about to say to me since I don't have any clue why I was being summoned here. He was studying me then he lent me the file that he was reading a while ago. Now, I've got the feeling that it wasn't good news since he was dead serious about this one.
"I got the info you asked me earlier about those rogues and you were right about them. They were not just rogues who accidentally entered our territory." Gregory stated that made me nod even though I sort of forgot that. Anyway, I listened to what he is going to say next.
"They were from the rogue pack of Achilles Blood." He continued and it didn't shock me.
I was right, it's them which make things little fun. I mentally smirked to intel that Gregory was saying to me. The Achilles Blood pack were a group of wolf and vampire rogues that were extremely dangerous without any guidance from the pack leader and that pack leader was someone I knew from then.
"Rupert Quins." I said that made him look at me in surprise.
Ruper Quins was the only old time friend that I really got along with since he was the one who helped me get even the man that ruined everything. But there was also something about him that was really a blur to me back then since he always put me in any kind of danger. He managed to put my head on the plate so that I could be hunted but at the same time I managed to kill them all. He was fascinated by my abilities which he took me along on his travels that led us to some other fair rogues and joined us. Ever since then, it grew and the two of us turned it into a pack which it prospered a lot but this time around, it was a different story.
"Yes. How did you know him?" He asked me how I knew their pack leader.
"How could I not know him? He has been with me since I was turned into a fallen. He helped me get through with it after Rean. But doing so, he did something twisted that tested my abilities which he has reason for doing to me. Now, he showed up here there will be some meaning to it." I responded not directly to him.
"Why is he here and watching my land?" He asked which made me grinned that Gregory tensed up a little. I'm a deadly vampire whenever I do that. It was like I was planning something harmful.
"Simple. It was because of me." I just stated that it was because of me even though I know deep inside it wasn't just me, it was something else.
Seriously, I'm partially lying to my Father – I mean, Frizabelle's dad. My wife's dad.
"You? why does it have to be you?" he asked me in a curious but serious tone that made me smirk.
"I'm troubled, Father. Troublemakers always find their way to me but even so, I still know how to deal with them. Plus, Rupert won't be watching if –" I tried to explain but I was cut off when Frizabelle suddenly bragged in without knocking the door that made her father groan because of the interruption. I already mentioned this one to him at breakfast - well it does happen and now, my lovely wife was just dragging me out along with her then slammed the door behind us.
"Father, Ruper was just watching me and my mate. He warned me about something that might happen soon. We have to double the patrol and the training as well like Belle told me last night." I continued to privately link to Gregory while Frizabelle was dragging me somewhere. I just hope she won't strangle me this time.
'I'll note that but are you sure about this Rupert Quins?'
"He might be planning something but he's more on letting things happen because it must. We just have to be prepared for whatever might be coming." I firmly told him since that's what Rupert told me early this morning.
'I understand and protect my princess, Ceres.'
"Don't worry, she's already starting to be an Alpha." I proudly informed Gregory the way Frizabelle was thinking last night after we made love.
'I hope she will be that storm that will hit us.'
"I hope so too, Father." I agreed as I began to notice that Frizabelle's grip was getting tighter as she continued on dragging me back to our lovely nest.
Whenever Frizabelle's holding me tightly like this, it only meant that she was in her furious state though I hope she holds me tightly on our bed.
"Seriously, stop thinking dirty right now!" Frizabelle groaned before letting me go that I automatically held it since it was getting a little sore.
"Then say it." I dared her to tell me what's really bothering her though I already knew what it was. She's being a jealous wife right now.
"Who's that Rupert?!" She asked in her furious and in her alpha tone.
To be honest, she surprised me with that tone of her since before it was just her temper now, she's showing her alpha side. It seriously gave me some chills but I found them sexy that made me smirked behind my calm face.
"A guy from the past." I just replied calmly as I studied her reaction. It's fascinating to watch.
"Seriously…" Frizabelle won't buy it since she was arching her left eyebrow at me with arms crossed when she said that.
I was smirking behind my thoughts but I just released a sigh before answering her.
"Fine, he was an old friend who help me to get away from my slavery within the council." I honestly told her while we're walking on our front porch.
"Then…" she wanted me to continue, which made me sigh in defeat.
"Okay, Rupert was the only vampire rogue that helped get control over my rogue side and he also wanted my creator dead…" I started to elaborate to her.
"I thought Rean was the one who helped you? And what do you mean creator?" She asked as she remembered that I mentioned before that Rean was the one who saved me which it happened as well. Well, better to explain to this curious wife of mine before it turned into an argument.
"Yes, Rean helped me but Rupert was the one who helped me first to control my rogue side and turn the table toward my creator or the person responsible for my awakening into a vampire. As for Rean help me to control my hysteria which after I commit a murder." I explained to her but she was still puzzled about something and I knew what it was.
"Belle, my beloved queen. I have to tell you that I'm not just a vampire. Well, technically I still am since I've awakened into a vampire but I am a hybrid. A kind of a hybrid that smelled and looked like a human but one crazy council member had his interest in me which led him to mentoring me but I was turned to be his slave. So, here I am standing in front of you in full fledged vampire from the blood clan of Aspire. Well, I am a fallen rogue vampire." I explained the 'creator' thing to her then watched her reactions. She was just listening attentively at me.
"Next." She said firmly while in deep thought like she was analyzing everything like a puzzle.
"Okay, like I said earlier that Rupert Quins was a hybrid who wanted my creator dead, so he befriended me and used me to get to him. When I learned his intention I helped him to kill my creator and it's a win-win situation. After assassinating my creator, I was condemned to die in the court of the vampires but they considered my turn and exiled me instead. When I was on the run because some vampire didn't like the court's decision and still wanted my head while some wanted me as their slave. That's the reason I was haunted till I met him again and this time he stuck with me. We both protect each other from anyone whose threat to us." I honestly told her my story with Rupert Quins.
"Along the way, three good rogues noticed that they were going to be safe if they tagged along with us. Then, the five of us became well known as the Lone Rogues who travel a lot that's also why some pack knew that not all rogues are harmful. Traveling for years made us decide to start a pack just for lone rogues and Rupert suggested we named it Achilles Blood." I continued explaining to her through storytelling as I took her hand and jumped off from our front porch then started taking a stroll.
"Just the five of us, the Achilles Blood was just like a typical pack that traveled together and along the way it grew to 20. So, we decided to make some roots somewhere in between the two clans – the school. Achilles Blood has a pack scent of bloody spring forest but as time passed by, some new recruits weren't so welcome for my taste. They're not good to the pack so I linked the 19 original pack members to meet me to our first roots. I told them what my guts told me and the majority agreed with me but Rupert wanted to see if I was right and decided to be their pack leader on the second roots." I continued as we kept strolling around the field until we reached the lake.
"I tried to stop him but he insisted because he knew that we all don't want our first root to be tainted by their foul scent." I kept continuing as I began to recall everything that happened back then.
"I stayed at our first roots and within just 5 months, I've got some reports that the pack wasn't in good shape. I warned the 19 members and all agreed to disband the pack yet our mark was still there. And Rupert, he has something on his mind and I don't know why he let it end this way. Even he can foresee the future." I said that made me think of something about him seeing the future.
He already knew that I would meet this pack, my mate and I are going to be wedded. He knew them already.
"Your mark?" Frizabelle asked curiously.
"Yep, that's the rainbow colored clouds within my soul which I knew came from Iolana." I answered which she nodded at since she saw it when I broke down back then.
"Anyway, now that he was here and watching the pack, it means there was something going to happen to us that can affect the pack." I explained to her that she looked at me in a serious matter as she stopped walking next to me.
"Us? Why does it have something to do with us?" Frizabelle asked me while in deep thoughts.
"He was watching us, remember at the woods after those rogues left and he compelled them to meet us there so that he'll know if it was us." I explained to her while looking at woods across the lake.
"Okay…?" she tried to understand my explanation that made me giggle to her seriousness.
"Oh babe, Rupert was a hybrid of vampire and a shaman that can shift into a wolf plus he was my friend. If he does something wrong I'll be the one who's going to deal with him. Alright?" I assured her as I caressed her arms.
"Okay…just don't hide or lie to me." she sighed as she nodded at me.
"Can't promise, babe." I chuckled but she still looked serious.
"Just try." She said while pouting that made me smirk.
"Still can't." I teased her and that made her glare at me as she released herself away from grip.
"Fine whatever." She waved her hand as she walked away that left me smiling with accomplishment from irritating her.
As my mind was clouded by my love, here I felt some disturbance not far from the house pack. The sly eyes fixed on me that made me smirked. I knew who owns those eyes and the presence that I'm sensing now but I just shook my head as I let it slide for a since it's time for dinner.
