Chapter 38 - Chapter 5: Moon’s Riddle

Ceres

"What are you doing here, you might catch a cold." Frizabelle sweetly said to me as she snaked her arms around me.

"Honey, I'm a vampire, cold weather doesn't bother me." I chuckled and made her release her embraces before sitting next to me.

"Then tell me why you are here?" she calmly asked which made me smile then kissed her cheeks.

"Just thinking about my work tomorrow that I just received from Father and he wanted to deal with it as soon as possible." I replied as I watched carefully her reaction would be if she knew.

"Work?" she asked cautiously while she was playing with her feet like a kid who was swinging them.

"Yes. I'll be traveling tomorrow night to check on the nearby pack who's been receiving threats from Achilles' Blood." I honestly replied to her that changed her mood.

"WHY IT HAS TO BE YOU? WHY DAD WON'T SEND HIS BETA OR SOME GOOD FIGHTERS INSTEAD OF YOU?!" She snapped as she also stood up from playing her feet while sitting next to me. Just seeing that reaction and outburst from her made me just look at her amused since I knew this will be her reaction when she learns about it.

Both Gregory and I used to Frizabelle's wrath on simple things for us but it was a big deal for her especially whenever I'm involved.

"Honey, remember I'm assigned to do the outfield negotiations since I'm a vampire and I'm good at reading people. Plus, Father appointed you to watch over the pack since you'll be inheriting his title soon when he retired. He wanted to see how you will work this out since not all the time we're going to be together. Also I have to deal with this already as quickly as I can so I could be with you in no time." I reminded her and explained to her what her father's intention was for letting her stay behind and not be in dealing with the outside allied pack.

Frizabelle's temperament issue. She knew it plus she also realized that it was our duty that needed to be filled.

"Still, I'm not good with the thought of you leaving me behind." She pouted and it made me chuckle then pulled her closer to me since I really wanted to hug her right now.

"Hey, I am not leaving you. I just have to deal with this like a business transaction that needs to be done in no time." I soothed her which made her nodded then kissed my lips.

"So, when you will be coming back?" she asked me while resting her head on my chest.

"Hopefully same night tomorrow if it goes well but if not, maybe the following day I will be home." I replied to her while we're both looking at the cloudy night skies.

After explaining to my lovely mate the job that her father asked me, we both went to our lovely nest and took a rest for tonight. We're indeed asleep apart from me. I couldn't sleep from my earlier encounter with Rupert. I kept wondering what he meant that we both need to stick together. Worries kept rushing in my system that made me look at the sleeping face of Frizabelle.

I stood out from my bed to let my mind be at ease outside the balcony. I watched the night sky then the lake. It kept me soothed and serenaded for some lovely reason – I really do love quiet places, especially in the middle of the woods. It made me feel so close to nature until I felt something was odd. I closed my eyes to sense them but it vanished in thin air, still the sensation was there.

"Goddess." I mumbled while smiling since she's the only one who always does that kind of dramatic entrance.

'How lovely the evening is it.'

"Goddess, why did you visit me?" I asked while letting myself be drowned in the darkness of my meditation.

'Is it wrong for me to visit my child?'

"You just answer me with another question." I chuckled as I took a seat on the doubled couch in our bedroom.

'Funny isn't it?'

"Get to the point will you?" I insisted since I knew from the deepest part of my guts that she wasn't here just to simply visit me tonight.

'Clever as always. Anyway, Rupert is just a warning for the upcoming roar of fallen wolves. They'll cry for blood yet behind those cries, one of them will cast another offspring then another kind will bleed for sanctuary here. The chosen ones will come to their aid and be with them as another chance of life.'

"And you spoke another riddle for me to solve." I chuckled toward her cunning riddle.

'Oh my child, you know well better than anyone. Good luck with your choices.'

"Wait, choices?!" I asked but she just chuckled then vanished before my ears.

I gasped then groaned over her statement and it was too painful to answer her riddle yet I wondered.

"You trust me too much, Goddess." I mumbled then went back to the bed and let my mind be at ease around my mate's loving snuggles.

4 am

I didn't get any peaceful sleep, so I just woke up and went for a short run outside the pack house perimeter before going back to see if Frizabelle was already awake. When she was, she immediately threw the pillow onto my face and I knew that she was upset from waking up alone.

"I just couldn't sleep well, so I one lap ran around the perimeter of the pack house." I explained to her that made her sighed then stood up from the bed and fixed up.

"Tell me about it. Everything that's bothering you since it left me so many disturbing dreams." Frizabelle said with her foul mood so early in the morning.

"Fine, just please hold your temper and sit next to me." I calmly told her and she did after wiping her wet face from getting rid of her drowsiness.

"Goddess talked to me last night and she told me about Rupert just being a warning for the upcoming uproar of the rogues. At the same time she also told me that there will be offspring from those rogues and another kind will ask for sanctuary here." I started to explain carefully as she listened intently.

"In the pack? Why is that?" she asked.

"I don't know yet but she trusts me that I can figure them out in time and she also wishes me luck on making a choice." I replied as I ran my hand onto my hair. This was the first time I've had a hard time to deal with the moon's riddle.

"So it means, your decision is a must?" she guessed.

"Not just me but you as well." I corrected her.

"Me? How did I come into the picture?" she asked in her confused tone.

"You're my wife and she blessed you too. Have you forgotten about that?" I explained as I caressed her shoulders.

"That makes sense since I've been dreaming that you were talking to her but I couldn't hear anything." She nodded in understanding while looking afar.

We became silent after talking until she sighed then crossed her arms while leaning to the head board of our king size bed.

"One of the rogues will be having an offspring and another will ask for sanctuary…" She thought deeply that made me study her quietly. She was thinking thoroughly and I like this side of her as well.

"Babe, tell me what the Goddess exactly told you." She told me that made me nod.

"Rupert is just a warning for the upcoming roar of fallen wolves. They'll cry for blood yet behind those cries, one of them will cost another offspring then another kind will bleed for sanctuary here. The chosen ones will come to their aid and be with them as another chance of life." I recalled what the moon goddess told me last night when she visited me.

Frizabelle was in her deep thoughts until she met my gaze and I can tell she was reading me which I don't know if she actually found anything just by looking at me. Then I smelled something different around us like we're being surrounded by bloody chocolate mint with a sweet fruity scent inside the room that made me jolted a little. It was a bit familiar but odd since we're alone in the room but when I looked at my wife, Frizabelle's gaze changed into a puzzled face.

"Did you smell that?" I asked which made her nod with still confusion written onto her face.

"What's wrong with that smell, it's good, Ceres." Frizabelled told me that made me hold her hand tight.

"It's different from ours. It's a mixed scent of ours with two other scents." I told her what I really felt about the scent that made her sighed.

She studied me for a second then she smiled so lovingly. I was confused about that.

"Ceres, I know you're a clever vampire but I never thought you're slow when it comes to this one." Frizabelle teased but she was right about those things.

I am indeed clever whenever it comes on fighting or anything that includes blood but this one. Well, it's totally out of my league. I don't understand why both of us smell our scent mixed with others though we're all by ourselves within our bedroom. It's a bit creepy in human language but to me, it's weird. I'm weird out, I guessed?

"Anyway, have you ever had a dream of having kids?" she asked me directly that seriously caught me off guard.

"How did you know?" I asked what made her smile wider.

"Well, I have those dreams too and they do have those scents that's why I'm not bothered by it instead, it calms me." she told me honestly before kissing my forehead.

I was still confused and I don't know how to react about that.

"Fine, I'll explain why I'm smiling like an idiot." She sighed while the smile was still visible onto her lips.

"The riddle of the Goddess was already answered; an offspring from the Achilles Blood which means it's a wolf and the other rogue came from the vampires which I'm still not sure if it also came from the same rogue pack." She explained but still blurred into my mind.

"Those rogues will be our kids." She finally got straight to the point that made my eyes go wide and I just stood up from the bed. I was thinking every word she said and compared them to the moon's riddle before I looked back at her who was laughing.

"Are you sure about that theory?" I asked since I still couldn't believe that she'll guess it that way. Maybe it could be. Would it be?

"Well, it's just a theory and who would know till it happens. It will be our choice, Ceres. Ours." Frizabelle chuckled as she stood up from the bed as well and went closer to me then gave me a peck on my lips.

Oh, those lips made me forget what's bothering me the whole night. I pulled her back into my arms when she was about to walk toward the door. She chuckled sweetly and it gave me a sense of security and love before she snaked her arms around my neck while smiling.

"I love you, Ceres and no matter what choices you made, I'll take a lot of chances to make a good sense out of it." Frizabelle said honestly to me that made me pull her even closer to me. I couldn't get enough of this one.

"You made it sound like I'm not making anything good." I countered but she just laughed at me.

"Aren't you?" she teased.

"Funny but sexy and I love you too." I responded then we kissed each other like it would be our last kiss that led us back to our bed to start what married couples do whenever it got hotter than just a make out kiss.

After making love to her first thing in the morning, we both looked at each other until I looked at my watch and it was already 5. I sat up and stretched my arms and let my stiff neck crack a bit before I thought of something to tease her up.

"If your theory is wrong, how do we get a child since none of us has a dick for us to get pregnant?" I asked seriously which made her slap my arms while she was totally embarrassed at what I just said.

"CERES! Your language…saying that thing…it's embarrassing." She said while flushing so red that made me laugh.

"What is so embarrassing about that? We're already married and talking about dicks and getting kids were still valid." I kept teasing her which made her cover her face with her both hands.

"Oh my gosh! Why did I marry such a -" She was about to say something to counter my comment but nope. I didn't let her finish it.

"Dick?" I guessed which made her slap my shoulder though her smile was still written onto her lips.

"Or asshole maybe? No, it could be dick in an asshole?" Another guessed slip from my lips while I was laughing which made her laugh as well.

"Or in a pussy? Neh, I prefer tongue in a pussy. Ohh, finger in pussy. I think that's much better." I continued guessing which made my lovely wife keep on laughing though I knew she was embarrassed about it as well.

"Oh Ceres, you make me imagine them. Ion, stop her please. She's putting dirty thoughts in my thoughts." Frizabelle whined to our other beloved that was living inside of me which I knew she likes - I mean, loves seeing our beloved wife's reaction toward our teases.

"Hey, I'd rather be perverted in front of you and do or talk dirty to you than to any other else, my beloved queen." I said with such honesty which I knew came from Iolana since Frizabelle's eyes went wide and blushed all of the sudden. Ohho, Iolana Blance Monte Cruz, you made our lovely wife stunned and thought of us doing that to her.

Frizabelle was indeed speechless which made me pull her closer to my chest. This was another point for me but having this peaceful and normal life with her really made me feel so damn alive.

"Your so cute babe." I chuckled as I pecked her lips then finally the alarm from my cell phone rang.
