Soon all the towns people had a glass of the Wine and they were ecstatic. Not even 20 minutes ago they were on the edge of life and death but now they felt amazing. Their entire bodies had been healed by the dense Spiritual qi in the Golden wine. Some of the towns people even broke through to the beggining stages of Qi Gathering. As the people were celebrating and hugging eachother with tears in their eyes they all suddenly felt a strong gust of spiritual qi from the Old man.
Looking over they saw the old man sitting down channeling a large amount of spiritual qi in and around his body. Julian looked at this as well wondering what he was doing. After browsing through his memories he began to clap and cheer.
" Congratulations on reaching the Foundation building stage! "
Hearing this the rest of the townspeople looked at their leader in awe. some of the older people had seen cultivators at the foundation stage before but they had never seen one advance to the stage in front of them.
Soon the old man finished and some of the wrinkles on his face vanished. He stood up and stretched his body as he ran Spiritual qi around his fingers and the rest of his body. His niece walked over to Congratulate him but he motioned for her to move aside.
He brought his arms up to defend his chest and sent a large amount of spiritual qi to his legs and arms. The next moment Spiritual Force exploded from his legs and he charged forwards into the city wall. before he made contact the Spiritual Qi around his arms exploded forwards and obliterated the wall made of wood and mud.
Many of the towns people began to cheer and the old man's niece even began to cry tears of joy. for the past 30 years the old man and his best friend had been the towns only protectors so to see their last living protector advance a level and become more powerful made them excited.
While the townspeople were discussing amongst themselves Julian was thinking about what he just saw. He didn't know if the townspeople noticed it but when the old man activated his skill a barely visible shadow of a bull appeared above his head for a moment before vanishing.
The dust settled and the old man walked back into the town full of joy
" Hell YEAH! " yelled the old man
He made his way back to the center of the town with his arms raised high in celebration. Julian smiled and turned back to the grill to check on the meat that was cooking.
" Foods done "
He only spoke two simple words but they were like fireworks in the ears of these starved men and women. They looked at him eagerly and organized themselves in a line with plates out ready to receive a piece of beast meat.
Seeing this Julian chuckled to himself and entered the build menu where he found a metal table. He quickly placed it and went back to the menu to grab a sharp knife. With this done he picked up the hot piece of meat and placed it on the table. He cut the meat into good portions and handed it out to the hungry townspeople who gobbled it down without a second thought.
The old man stood at the back of the line and waited patiently for his people to get food before he himself got some. time quickly passed by and all of the townspeople were happily eating. The old man walked up and fell to the ground bowing to Julian.
" I William Davis herby pledge my eternal loyalty to his grace. May I know my Grace's name? "
Julian looked at the old man shocked at the sudden pledge but at this time the memories of the princess took over and he spoke loudly and proudly.
I accept your allegiance! My name Is Julian Sanchez but you will refer to me as Emperor J.
William nodded and spoke loudly
" I pledge my eternal allegiance to Emperor J!
The sudden noise attracted the attention of the rest of the townspeople and without William speaking further all the towns people put down their plates for a moment and bowed down as well repeating what William said.
" I Jacob Sedillo herby pledge- "
" I Evan Smith Herby pledge - "
" I Jessica Davis herby pledge my eternal loyalty to his Grace Emperor J! "
In a matter of moments all the peoples voices echoed in the towns Square and then silence fell. Julian looked around with a smile and spoke happily.
" Rise! "
The towns people rose and looked at him awaiting his next command.
" Everyone go back to eating for the time being, I must have a chat with Elder William for a bit. "
Many of the people nodded and went back to discussing amongst themselves while they ate but this time many if not all felt a Burning sensation of Joy.
Julian placed two wooden chairs and sat down along with William.
" I have many questions about this place I hope you can answer. "
William smiled and spoke.
" Of course my liege i will help you to the. best of my capabilities! "
" What's the name of this town? "
" The name of the town is Isvan "
Julian opened the map and searched through his memories but couldn't find any record of the town. While he was searching he saw that he had a couple of notifications from the system but chose to ignore them for now.
" What the history of this town? how has it fallen to this state? "
The question fell and William looked depressed.
" You may not believe what I say but this city is actually the capital city of an ancient empire from before the Great War with the elves. I don't know much as much of the history has been lost but what I know now has been passed to me from my parents from generation to generation. It's become more of a myth at this point but they say that this empire was the cause of the great war with the elves. "
While speaking the man looked at the Bolter in Julian's hand and swallowed before standing up and speaking before he walked to his hut.
" i will be right back, there is something I wish to show you. "
William walked to his house and returned with a long rectangular box locked with an iron chain. He unlocked it and slowly opened the case while speaking.
" This is an ancient relic passed down throughout my family for the past 10,000 years. I originally wasn't going to show this to you but after looking at your weapon for the past couple of minutes I changed my mind. " Julian looked at the case and once he saw what was inside he was a little shocked. a wooden Rifle sat in the box in front of him but something about the rifle was off.
" Is that a rifle? "
Hearing this question William tensed up and hesitantly spoke.
" Yes this is a spirit rifle created by my ancestors from the wood of the Holy blue tree. this rifle is also the cause of the great war with the elves. "
" can I inspect it? " asked Julian
William hesitated but replied.
" Of course my king. "
He handed Julian the rifle and the weapons info popped up
[ Isvan Spirt Rifle #004 ( unusable ) ]
A highly advanced weapon created by the ancient Isvan empire. This weapon referred to as a rifle by the Isvan people is made of Blue wood and kosk metal. It works by condensing a small amount of spiritual force in the chamber which is then ignited to push out a small metal ball at insane speeds. Thanks to the Living blue wood this rifle creates its own spiritual energy and can be used by mortals without spiritual Qi. This powerfull weapon is capable of Breaking past the defenses of anyone below the gold core stage. If an enemy is caught by surprise this weapon can even kill Nascent soul stage cultivators. This weapon can even pierce the skin of any body refiner below Sarira stage. only 12 of these were ever made.
" What a good weapon " Exclaimed Julian.
He saw the unusable tag and inspected the weapon further. Looking down the barrel he saw why it was unusable. The wood had begun to sprout new branches inside the barrel blocking it and ruining the weapon.

He thought about this mission and remembered that he saw a couple rifles in that old dragons lair but it would be near impossible to retrieve them now.
He handed the weapon back to William and asked him a question.
" Do you know why this rifle caused the Great war? "
Julian had always loved learning history so when he got to this world he wanted to learn as much as possible about the world.
William placed the rifle of the side of the chair and proceeded to remove the lining from the bottom of the case revealing 3 dusty books.
" These are the 3 books that have been passed down throughout my family. they posses most of the knowledge about humanity before the Great War that the Isvan empire collected. They are written in the Ancient Isvani Language so i couldn't read them but maybe you might be able to one day. "
He pointed to each book and said.
" This book talks about the various powerful forces in depth while this book is an independent look at each of the powerhouses from that time and this book is a record of the great war. I do not have a descendant to pass these onto so I will give them to you instead. "
Julian grabbed the books and looked at them carefully. He wanted to try and read them but decided to put them away in his inventory for the time being.
Not wanting to receive such a gift for nothing he took the spatial ring that contained the mountain of meat and tossed 100 HQ spirit stones inside before handing it to William.
" Please take this ring as a thank you gift. "
Seeing The spatial ring William Hastily refused waving his hands telling Julian to take it back.
" I cannot accept such a valuable gift. "
Julian could see the determination in his eyes so he spoke again but this time with a serious voice.
" I order you to take this ring. "
William looked at Julian and sighed as he took it from him. Julian removed his ownership of the ring and William dropped some blood onto it to take control of it. when he looked inside He fainted.
Seeing this Julian chuckled a little bit and woke William up.
William looked at Julian full of emotions but before he could say anything Julian Interrupted him.
" How did this town fall into such dire straits? "
William heard this question and was quiet for a bit before speaking.
" The town began to decline about 2 years ago when my two eldest brothers both at the foundation building 3rd stage went out to hunt but never returned. Me and my best Friend Henry searched for them everywhere but it was to no avail. This devastated both me and the townspeople as all of the animals around here are rank 2 or higher so it was almost impossible to hunt any of them. I had to resort to sneak attacks and Cleverly planned traps but it was fruitless most of the time. Not to mention the constant undead wandering outside the village made it impossible to go out to hunt on most days. One day last year I got lucky and came upon an abandoned hut that had 4 bags of flour and a small bag of wheat seeds. I have no clue who left them there but I was so happy I nearly burst into tears. I quickly got to work making bread and planting the seeds inside the town but a couple months later when the wheat was almost ready to be harvested a rank 3 Steelhead hog Busted down the town wall and several Houses killing half the towns population and plundering the wheat field leaving nothing behind. Ever since then I've been going out everyday to scavenge for anything I could possibly find but it was never enough for everyone to eat so every other weak someone would die and I would blame myself for their deaths. "
At this point William was in tears and began to struggle to speak. clearly he was incredibly distraught thinking about this. Julian was about to tell him he didn't need to continue but then William Grabbed his hands and spoke full of admiration and respect.
Bu-bu-But then you came out of nowhere and Brought us this mountain of food! YOU HEALED MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT! YOU DIDN'T Ask FOR COMPENSATION BUT DECIDED TO HELP US OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF YOUR HEART! "
Julian who wasn't expecting this kind of story and barley managed to hold back tears of his own. He created a Cloth napkin out of thin air and handed it to William as he stood up and spoke in a loud voice to all of the Townspeople watching.
" I Can't begin to imagine the pain and suffering you all have gone through the past 2 years. But let it be known that I Julian Sanchez will bring Isvan city into a Golden age and no one will ever go hungry again as long as I live and breath. I will Make Isvan the biggest and most prosperous city in the entirety of the blue sun Territory. There will be rivers of gold and mountains of cultivation resources. There will be wheat fields as far as the eye can see. and Isvan will have the best houses and the Best protection out of any other city. Never again will you have to worry about Spiritual beasts or The undead. THIS I SWEAR TO YOU HERE AND NOW! As of today I Crown myself Emperor Julian and I found the new Imperium of man! So I ask all of you! WILL YOU JOIN ME IN THIS ADVENTURE TO PROSPERITY AND PEACE! "
His voice echoed Throughout the town and the people roared in excitement.

...
Julian looked at all of this and became excited. It was exactly what he wanted.
He looked at William who was wiping the tears from his face and spoke.
" From this moment onwards you are a General of the Imperium of man. your first task is to Recruit 20 men into the army. "
William took a moment to take everything in and nodded. so much had happened today he was still trying to understand everything. He walked to the group of towns people and began to talk to the 40 or so men in the town.
While William was speaking to his people Julian walked outside the city and looked at the wolf corpse and thought back to the man that it had killed.
' If only I had acted a second sooner you would still be alive. '
He felt guilty about the mans death so he grabbed a knife and cut open the wolf to retrieve the mans body. He sliced open the stomach and several skeletons came flooding out including one human Skelton.
" He's already been dissolved? "
Julian was surprised at how quickly the body had been dissolved by the stomach acid. As he stared at the body he felt sick. He had never cut open a body like this so all the blood and guts made him nauseous. Once he picked up the bones he dug a hole and buried his remains. Next he picked up the dead wolf carcass in his inventory and walked back up to his cave where he dumped the wolf carcass Into the Matter Converter.

' Milk ? '
' Don't tell me! '
He activated his divine sense and sent it into the surrounding area and his fears came true. a little more than a mile north under a large rock sat 6 baby Storm wolf cubs all alone.
He felt really bad now because these cute pups were now mother less and would most likely die.
He thought for a moment then went into the building menu where he designed a large cage. he placed it outside the cave then picked it up and teleported to the wolf pups.
Once he appeared and saw the puppies he felt a mix a guilt and joy. The pups were only about 4 weeks old so they didn't put up any resistance to him and he easily got all of them into the cage.
With them in hand he teleported back to the cave and bought a pickaxe from the build menu. He mined out a 10ftby10ft square room and placed a metal foundation on the floor then placed metal walls and a metal roof. After that he made some metal bars to keep them inside. After that he built two large bowls and filled one with water and the other with torn up pieces of soft meat. With the puppy room done he opened the cage and picked up one of the Big Fluffy pups and looked at it full of joy before giving it a hug. In this world he had only really experienced pain and sadness but these puppies made him happy for the first time in a while.
