Misha's POV
"Wow!!! Thank you Mom! I missed these a lot!", I said faking a delighted face. I guess it worked because she gave me her wide smile. She then dragged me to open a box at the end of the table. I was skeptical at first but I knew it got to be good.
"Come on!", she said persuading me to open it already. I slowly opened it and saw lots of my favorite doughnuts. Normally I would squeal, jump and hug my mom for the treats, but when I saw them, I felt nauseated instead. I quickly closed them and faced my mom. Mom was clearly confused with my reaction so I quickly brought it to my room instead. When I came back, my mom just looked at me waiting for an explanation.
"What? I need to save them for later. You may get one yourself so I had to hide them", I nonchalantly said.
"Hahaha you sly girl. I would never hide the doughnuts to cover up my crime of eating bunch of doughnuts before dinner", she said with a smirk and looked at my shirt. I looked down my shirt and saw the evidence. A cream fell onto my shirt from the cream filled doughnuts I ate earlier. I saw Lara trying her best not to laugh.
"Ugh", I facepalmed myself and I was about to say sorry and defend myself but she stopped me with a hand gesture.
"Stop, I don't want any excuses. I will think of a punishment for you later and I don't want any complaints. Now eat your dinner before it gets cold", she said and went to her seat. She looked at me again suggesting to eat the food she brought.
*sigh* "Fine", I started eating and kept on glancing at my mom. We finished eating without talking. I hate this kind of atmosphere. I excused myself and went back to my room.
After awhile, mom entered my bedroom and sat next to me on my bed.
"I'm sorry if I humiliated you earlier but you needed to know that lying to me have its consequences. You should've told me that you ate already, I won't get mad. I would've just saved you some food for later if ever you got hungry", she explained then comforted me with a hug.
"I'm sorry mom. Thank you for forgiving me", I said and hugged her tighter.
"Yes, I forgive you but you still have a pending punishment", she said and laughed thereafter. I whined and covered myself with a blanket, which made her laugh even more.
"Don't worry darling, it is for your own good as well", she said. I took a peak at her and nodded which earned me a smile and a kiss on the forehead by my bully mother. I love her so much. She would never make me feel bad that much. I'll just wait for my consequence then. I slept peacefully right after.

-The next day-
I woke up and got ready for school earlier than I used to. I was just so excited to go back to school. It felt like it's my first day of school, again. Yet, this time, I know who to talk to and whom to avoid. That's a good way to start my life in that new school. I checked myself in the mirror to make sure I looked decent and grabbed my bag so I can finally go downstairs to the car. I just grabbed a toast and water on my way outside.
"Good morning Miss!, are you all set for today?", the driver asked and opened the car door for me.
"Yup! I definitely am!", I said and gave him my best smile. I went inside the car and he closed the door. I still feel a little awkward with him doing that because I am not like those privileged rich kids. I am just a normal teenager who have just gotten a taste of luxury in life. When we arrived at school, I quickly said goodbye to him and jogged to my golf car. It took me a while to get to my car but I didn't mind because I came early today. I arrived to the building where my classes will be at and parked the car.
I saw Kendra waiting for someone at the entrance door. I walked towards her direction. When she saw me, she waved and smiled at me, gesturing me to go to her. I smiled back and I walked faster to where she's at.
"Hey! How are you feeling today?", she asked and grabbed my hand to pull me towards the lift.
"I am fine, better than before", I said to assure her. She smiled and we went our way to our classroom with her still holding my hand. Some of the students around were drooling upon the sight of her and most of them were glaring at me. I tried to release my hand but her grip wouldn't allow me to do so. I just accepted the raining angry eyes on me. I should be happy that Kendra is close to me but sometimes it has its drawbacks.
The class started a few minutes after we went inside the classroom.
"Good morning everyone and welcome back Ms. Misha", the professor greeted and I just smiled at him. He smiled back and gestured for someone to come in from outside the door.
"Alright class, I would like you to meet our transfer student. She's starting a little late than all of you so please be kind and guide her", he said and gestured for the student to come in again. I guess the new student is shy.
"Alright here she is", he said as she started to go inside the room. I just saw her foot at first because my attention was drawn back to my phone when it vibrated due to a message that I have received from my mother. The message contained only one word which was, "SURPRISE!". I didn't get what she meant so I glanced at the window to check if my mother was there but I saw no one. I scoffed and replied "You're crazy mom. I got to go. I still have classes. Bye 🤣".
Before I put back my phone to my pocket, I heard a voice that was very familiar to me. I searched for the source of that voice and it lead me to the face of the new student.
I was very shocked and could only utter one word, "Fuck"
