Chapter 1 - Familiar Faces

Cole had nearly reached the Transfluxer. There was just one problem that a guard was blocking his way. He wasn't any ordinary sort of guard. He was well-armed, with a sword-tattooed neck, confirming he belonged from the Legion. This thing made every muscle in Cole's body stiffen.

Cole was a prisoner aboard the AF-013 of the planet, Eunix in the galaxy Andromeda. His shirt first read, PRISONER-027 but he added AN INNOCENT before PRISONER. Transfluxer was the only way by which he could get out of this spaceship even though he wasn't sure where he would go. The safest he could think of was the neighbouring galaxy, Cygnus.

The Legion guard towered over him. How will he even get past him to reach the Transfluxer? There was only one way to find out. He tiptoed till a pillar and pressed himself to the wall when the guard turned around. He slowly grasped the gun he had and aimed at his chest. He presses the trigger.

The bullet hits him. Something unexpected happens. As the bullet hits his chest, it knocks the air out of him but doesn't pierce his uniform. Cole realises that the guard was a Legion and they were the high-class soldiers. So their safety was critical. He then remembered that something called a bulletproof jacket existed and the guard was wearing that.

The guard turns around to face him, his gun loaded and ready to shoot. He almost pressed the trigger but stopped after seeing it was Cole. Cole didn't know who the guard was, as his face was covered, and only his hair and eyes were visible, so it was hard to figure out. But he had seen those blue eyes before, and that golden blonde hair was familiar.
