"She can dance very well. April has about 20 friends, and they are just as curious as she is."
Aquila chuckled, and the sound flooded her and made her shiver. she shook her head. couldn't figure it out. "I will remember that."
"Besides, a good-looking guy like you..." . '" Atiya 's cheeks immediately burned. what did she say now? Aquila looked at her. "Handsome, right?"
Fuck. he heard it "I was just quoting something I read in People magazine last month," she stumbled as she tried to get away with it. He gave her a half-smile. "To the right."
Moaning, she picked up her pace and arrived at the door in front of him. "Now let's finish it," she said. There was no salvation. As if she wasn't exactly admitting to him that she was definitely attracted to him, it was best to move on. Why did she say those words in her mind? If she's lucky, she'll get out tonight. Consider some platonic thoughts about Aquila . It was the only way she could save herself. Bing Crosby was carried out through Jim's open door. Atiya approached her. She heard Aquila ' footsteps behind her. Part of her mind was that he decided this wasn't for him and she wished she'd gone back to the limousine soon and out of her life. The other part of her, the nonsense part, beats a little faster when he wants to be here. She wants to dance with her As they entered the gym, Atiya searched for April in the crowd. There were some tables in the back, and people were gathering and chatting. But the majority were on the dance floor, waltzing and foxtrotting the rest of the gym. All appeared to be of retirement age, with the exception of a few teenagers who were apparently brought in by their grandparents. The music blaring from the speakers fell silent and the dancefloor stopped. Then they stood and waited for the next song to start. "Well done!" April exclaimed as the faster tempo song drowned out her words. "yes. We're here," Atiya said as she hugged her aunt. "Aquila , you look great tonight," April said, hugging Aquila . "Wow. Some might say, 'Handsome?' but he gave Atiya a big smile. April walked back and forth between them. "Oh, you two are bonding. I love it!" She reached out and hugged each of them. Undoing her hug, Atiya took a step back. She couldn't imagine that she would want to do the same thing again. At this point, she just wanted to practice, she then got out of here, she wanted to stay away from Aquila . "Okay, what should I do?" she asked April , who waved at an old couple who had just entered the gym. "Contact Agnes over there." She nodded to the table. "Tell her you want to join her. She has some waivers and stuff that you need to sign. Then find a spot on the dance floor and practice." April walks away. smiled at her. "And have fun! You're only young once," she turned, walking from the snack table toward the woman who was packing cookies into her bag. Atiya was thrilled, surprised by the warmth of Aquila ' hand on her back. She turned around and saw him smiling at her. "Shall we?" he asked, nodding to Agnes.
She cleared her throat. She needed space from him, but she was here to dance with him and it was silly. "Why don't you register and find a table where you can leave your luggage?"
He looked around the room and then nodded. "Yes. I think you'll be fine." "I will protect it with my life."
Atiya just nodded and then went to Agnes. She wanted Aquila to stop being kind to herself. That didn't stop her from liking him. She or she wants to keep her distance from him. And given her mother's apparent feelings for her, that was what she had to do. Atiya took a few slow breaths as she approached the table. While waiting in line for her, she glanced over and saw Aquila spotted a table and had his coat draped over the backs of two chairs. He shook hands with a group of men. she moaned. Why did he have to be kind to everyone? Why couldn't he be a troll? fool? Like any other wealthy man she's ever met? But it's not. She stuck with the likeable and handsome Aquila Scott . "Are you ready?" a voice cut through her thoughts. Turning around, she glanced at Agnes. he smiled at her. "Yes. Sorry, I got distracted."
Agnes laughed. "I would be distracted if I came with such a handsome man."
Atiya tried to suppress her moans. Why do all the old people say exactly what they think? What happened to the mystery? "I'm not there. . "We're just friends," Atiya stammered. Looking at Agnes' face, she didn't believe her words. "Well, don't be friends for too long. You don't want to lose him."
When an old man thinks about death, he must want a constant reminder that no matter what he is doing, time flies. If we don't act now, we risk losing everything. Atiya picks up the clipboard Agnes gave her. "Great, I'll keep that in mind," she turned and walked to the table, Aquila in full conversation mode. He charmed all three with his words. They nodded and watched him speak. As she got closer she caught a few words here and there. What confused her the most. Something that counters IRAs and investments to increase wealth. She knew nothing about this. "Are you ready?" she asked, approaching him. He stared at her as he finished her last thoughts. Then he smiled. "I." He held out his hand and shook hands with the men again. "Thank you for letting me join your conversation. It was a pleasure talking to you all about retirement. If you have any questions, please call me. I'd be happy to talk with you." was taken out. Then he handed me some business cards. The men nodded and gathered around the snack table. Aquila smiled at her. "How long have I been away?" Atiya asked, trying to ignore the butterflies fluttering around his belly with the intensity of his gaze. "It's not long. Why?" He took a clipboard from her and stared at it, glancing at her clipboard. she shook her head. "No reason." Then she stopped. "I find it strange that you want to get out of the investing game and that wherever I take you, you end up talking about it."
He pulled a pen out of his clip and glanced at her as he signed her waiver. "Hmm," he said, placing the lithographs and papers on the table. "I'm tired of this story. Shall we go dance? '" he nodded at the couple spinning on the dance floor. Aquila grabbed her hand and pulled her off the table before Atiya could find a reason not to. The feeling of him gripping her fingers so tightly ran up her arm and exploded in her chest that she was speechless. Spotting a gap in her crowd, he nudged her there. He put her hand on her back and lifted her already crossed hand. Before she could do anything, he pulled her up and stepped forward. At that moment, she was grateful to have her romantic aunt. She insisted that April should always learn to dance. Little did April , who was 26 years old, know that it mattered whether she learned the waltz or suffered a serious injury. She let her instincts run wild as she was led on the dance floor by Aquila . Otherwise, she would surely have been trampled by overzealous pensioners. She felt his gaze on her face and wanted to lift her head. But she was terrified of what she saw. your heart throbbed. His mother's words floated along with all the reasons why they shouldn't be together. Why can't they dance on the dance floor? why should she approach how she walks away if she wants to protect herself. She melted as she felt a firm grip on her back. She was just inches from him, at a breathtaking distance from her. "You're not very talkative anymore," he said, in a lower voice than before. Is it possible that he felt something moving in her too? Was it foolish to expect?
"I-" What should she say? You mean she was shocked to be in his presence? That she forgot to do the simplest thing. Is it clear that his mother doesn't want them to be together? Could her feelings for him hurt her if he was alive? An image came to her mind of a brown box containing her father's remains. Suddenly she had to go. now. She pushed her car away, turned her around, and headed for her bathroom. Aquila called her name, but was soon drowned out by music blaring from the speakers. "I need to go to the bathroom," she shouted over her shoulder as she slipped through the bathroom door into the cubicle. She took a deep breath and leaned against the wall. She was going to hide here until she got better. She wrapped her arms around her chest and leaned back behind her. Given her feelings, this may take some time.
