Valerie blend down and helped him drink some water before stepping back beside Brina.
"Poor thing!" She said with sad expression.
"Where are you from?" Brina bursted out.
" Brina!" Valerie snapped at her placing her hand on her forehead. "He can't speak, he has a sore throat. It might take days" she added.
" Days!" Brina yelled out irritated "that's so long, can't we just slapped it out of him" she suggested.
Valerie suddenly pointed at the woods. "Go get some wood young lady!"
"Fine!"
Brina walked away while muttering 'Old Lady' while heading for the woods.
He watched as Brina walked away and couldn't help but feel great ful, he didn't want to go to be slapped by a crazy woman. He also watched as Valerie walked away from his view which gave him time to recall the past events.
He remembered the clanging of swords, the cry of fallen warriors, he also remembered his cry. He remembered how everyone of his men were lost except him. Luckily, he was able to escape before he met his doom. But, at that moment, he thought he was going to see hell but....he guessed, the high heavens had a different plan for him.
His thoughts were interrupted when Valerie came back with a a brown bowl which content a green leaf water. She blend down and bought it to his mouth and he couldn't help but move his head to the side because of the smell. But, she forced it into his mouth and a very deep frown appeared on his face, as he forced himself to not throw up.
"I know it tastes bad but it will help you heal in time." She told him.
Even the smell could heal him, she bought it back to his mouth again and he shut his lips really tightly, there was no way he was going to drink that.
She tried pressing the bowl between his lips but it was useless and she giggled lightly. To him, it was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard in his entire life, he wanted to hear it forever.
"If you do not open your mouth, I will have to force it in you somehow." she warned him with a serious face.
He scoffed from the inside, he was sure that nothing would make him drink that again. But, he actually did when she held his nose and made it difficult for him to breath and when he opened his mouth to let out air, she poured the entire content in and it surprisingly went down his throat.
"See, that's better" she smiled at him and he couldn't help but throw daggers at her which made her giggled, but she was right, he did felt better than the time he woke up, he felt like he was being ran over by thousands of horses.
But, his thoughts were interrupted when when he heard the grumbling sound of his stomach which made her laugh and he looked away with redden cheeks.
"Poor thing, but luckily for you, Grandma Ola gave us for bread for breakfast" she stood up and left and came back with with some bread and started to feed him while he chewed lazily.
He stared at her while he ate, she had a really lovely smile on her face, she really was beautiful. She looked happy and content and he really hoped that nothing would take that smile off her face.
"You are really lucky that we found you. You would have died and that would have been a really bad thing for your family"
Brina later came back with some wood and started a fire and the two maidens sat beside the fire.
"Has he said anything yet?" She asked and he rolled his eyes.
This maiden was stupid, he couldn't speak and even if he did, he wouldn't be telling her anything. He only needed to know where he was so that he could go back home as soon as he healed, he had so many things to report back at home.
A few minutes later, Valerie later went back to him with the same bowl and a look of horror spread across his face and she let out a giggle.
"It's not the same thing" she told him as she blend down to his level.
He stared at her face to find any sign of lying but he found none. She was lying, it was the same disgusting content she gave to him earlier, he wasn't going to fall for her tricks.
"It's a little something to help you sleep while you heal. If you stay awake, you are only gonna go through pain and I do not want that" she told him with sincerity.
He sighed, he really shouldn't make it hard for her, she was only trying to help him. And besides, she had said it was not the same content.
Maybe...it won't be that bad.
(Seconds later)
He took it back, he took it back!
It was so bitter but he didn't have the time to complain because he suddenly felt dizzy and soon, he passed out.
"What did you give to him?" Brina asked as she came beside Valerie.
" You know, my special herb" she answered with a smirk.
" Oh no, you didn't?" Brina said with wide eyes.
"Oh yes, I did!"
