Think, think! I only had a few seconds left. Oh yeah. I'm strong and stuff now. I can slow down time, use super strength, move really fast, and I'm super agile now.
Using my time ability again, I slowed down time and flipped my body over. Instincts I never knew I had took over and I tucked into a ball right before I hit the ground and rolled, landing safely with my shaking arms held out at my side.
I sat there for a few moments, sweating bullets over my near death experience. I... I could've died just now. I could've been a splatter of guts on the ground if I hadn't acted correctly. The thought sent shivers down my spine.
I quickly looked up at where I'd fallen from. Maybe Hisoka had the same idea and would break a hole and fall down too, finally finishing me off. I stood up and waited, looking for any sign at all. There was nothing. He was definitely capable of it, so why was he letting me go?
"Applicant 4, first place," a robotic voice suddenly called. "Huh?" I glanced around and saw that I was in a medium sized concrete and circular room, the only one in it.
Don't tell me... did I just fall all the way down to the finish place? Um... lucky me, I guess? But that also means... I'll be here for days. The entire phase is supposed to last for 3 days in all. Since I entered, it's probably only been a couple hours.
And whoever comes after me, it's gonna be a real awkward wait with only two of us, since I only know Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika. There's no doubt that I'm going to reach the max point of boredom just waiting around in here for days.
The first few hours I spent on trying to meditate. I gave up soon. Then I tried to train by jogging around the room, which helped a bit. My stamina was also way up now, so I could run for days without feeling much fatigue.
After some thinking, I decided to name my time ability "Clock." Hehe, sounds pretty badass, amirite? It would be strange to just keep calling it "time ability" after all.
I should've brought something with me to distract myself from this boredom... if only I'd remembered what happened when you finished the 3rd phase beforehand, I thought miserably.
After even more scrutinizingly dull hours, a concrete door slid open. I stopped banging my head against the wall and watched with wide eyes as someone I knew very well stepped in. Because as soon as I saw his figure, I remembered.
"Applicant 301, second place."
