"Dead... I'm dead..." I groaned, kicking my feet against the wall.
"How about another game of cards?" Hisoka asked, shuffling his playing cards with a grin. "Ugh, no. We've already played like 20 different games. And I've only won 5 of them."
"Sore loser~"
Hasn't it been long enough? I'm sure that by now everyone but those four are here. Now I severely regretted my decision of making it here first. The boredom was quite literally starting to kill me.
Sure, I was hungry and thirsty, but I guess this body had been modified to be able to last long without food and water- along with everyone else here. And a cart carrying rice and water had been wheeled into here a few times so that we wouldn't die.
Just as I was about to chat with Hanzo again, the door slid open, catching everyone's attention. It announced the newcomer's places. And, to my excitement, Gon walked out, followed by Killua and Kurapika.
"Ow... my butt hurts..." Killua complained. "Who would've thought that the shortcut would've been a slide?" Kurapika said. "You guysss!" I exclaimed, crushing them into a hug. "Do you have any idea how bored and worried I was?!" I whined.
"A- Aki, can't... breath-" Gon managed with a weak grin. I let go, crossing my arms. "What took so long?!"
"Hehe... that was kinda my fault..." a new voice admitted.
I looked behind them to see Leorio and Tonpa enter, hands pushing each other away. Gon explained what had happened to me, a sheepish Leorio behind him. "You were stuck in that room for that long?" I asked, covering my laugh.
"It's not funny! It was so boring in there..." Killua muttered. "It feels so good to finally be out!" Gon added, smiling. "Baka-Leorio," I complained. "Hey!" he insisted, holding up his hands.
"By the way, when did you get here?" Kurapika asked. "...I was here first. That's why I was so bored," I explained. "F- first? Are you sure?" Leorio asked, recovering first. Killua was the only one who didn't look shocked.
"Just ask Hisoka," I said, and everyone turned to the clown. He nodded in confirmation, wearing the same creepy grin as always. "Woah... you must be super strong!" Gon exclaimed, his eyes widening in admiration.
"Well... it's not really that..." I started. Seeing their confused faces, I explained the whole story (leaving out my Clock ability though, of course). "But still... you destroyed that regenerative wall, long enough to escape through it and fall all the way down here, and you survived," Kurapika said incredulously. I sweatdropped, shrugging my shoulders. "I just got really lucky."
Suddenly, an opening appeared on the wall, letting in much-needed sunshine. The remaining 26 candidates walked through, standing in a small crowd.
Time for the next phase... the hunt on Zevil Island.
