As my magic flowed into the array, a sturdy dome-shaped barrier was erected around us. The oracle took a curious look around as the barrier came into existence.
"Your intent is to trap me and fight me with the aid of an array, mortal? I commend your efforts in weakening me and setting up this trap. You must have spent a tremendous amount of time and effort to get to this point but alas it will all be futile! You cannot go against a god!"
"You are so full of yourself. This array has no offensive capabilities and was solely built to isolate this place because I don't want to deal with others meddling. You may think that you are the predator in this cage but I assure you that you are not. You are just a world god using an oracle!"
I unlocked some of the seals on myself and let some of my true power be revealed. The world seemed to slow down as my mental capacity increased manifold. An ancient aura was released and scared the shit out of the oracle.
"Who- No- What are you? What is this power?"
"So you finally noticed... Time to make some money out of you!"
"What do you mean? No, don't get any closer to me! I'm an almighty god of this world, you can't harm me, I'll tell the others!"
"Do you really think I will let you tell them? You won't even be able to talk when I'm done with you!"
A black, ink-like substance started to flow through my eyes as my aura turned much more terrifying than before. The power flowing through me right now was much harder to control than what I usually used but in return, it was very difficult to defend against.
I carefully directed that terrifying energy at the oracle or more specifically at the oracle's connection to its god. The energy grabbed hold of that connection and followed it to find the source. Eclesias was about to suffer a horrible attack unlike anything he had ever experienced.
Now to make money! I summoned a tide of darkness from my palm that ensconced the oracle and began to devour it. I had spent many years observing the primal chaos as it devoured many different things and returned them to their origins.
The understanding I had gained from this was very precious since it allowed me to partially filter resources out of things I devoured using my darkness. Drawing resources from your enemies' bodies was naturally the best!
As the darkness receded into my palm, two golden, glowing pearls we're left behind. The left one was condensed from divine power with the attribute of light. The right one was condensed from faith. The only visible difference between the two was that the faith pearls glow was more subdued.
I pocketed the pearls and disassembled the array before teleporting back to Aurelia's office. I felt minor discomfort when my body suddenly left that area with chaotic energies and transitioned into the peaceful, empty office of Aurelia.
For a moment I was left wondering where Aurelia had gone to but a faint wisp of her power beckoned me into another room. There, Arahnia was doing her best to hide behind a desk filled with account books while Aurelia was playfully watching her from a comfy-looking couch.
"Stop that, you are scaring her."
"But I was bored, you took so long to deal with that oracle that I needed something to entertain me. So I asked my dear secretary to help me brainstorm ways to get money back into our coffers."
"Well, maybe these will soothe your boredom. They are after all the reason that I took longer than usual."
I threw the two pearls over to her. Aurelia promptly snatched them up and began to examine them. The longer she examined them the bigger the sparkles in her eyes got.
"You managed to devour the oracle and filter out the faith and divine power within? Do you know how valuable this is? If we sell this we can... We can make so much money!"
"Calm down Aurelia. While the worth of these two items is quite high that is mainly due to their rarity. To effectively use them they still need to be processed and will thus lose some of their rarity resulting in a loss of worth."
"Still, these are treasures! We will set up an auction right now and set them as the main items."
"Aurelia, do you really think something like that is going to make us filthy rich? I say we go big or we go home! While I was in the primordial jungle realm I collected some resources and did some tinkering around to kill time. So what do you say we put up a lower quality epic (grade 6) piece of equipment as our main attraction.
"Before the auction, I can also process the two pearls and make a few potions alongside some inferior equipment to fill up the spots in the auction. I'll leave the advertising to you guys."
Aurelia was furiously nodding at that point. I could nearly see imaginary dollar symbols in her eyes. I left Arahnia's office and found myself an empty room on the same floor to work in. The room I chose was at the end of the hallway and looked quite unassuming despite its size.
The only pieces of furniture in this room were a bed and a little chest. There was a lot of free space here so it wouldn't impede my work. I retrieved some sand from my separate space and used fire magic to make glass flasks that could hold the potions. Using gravity magic I made sure every one of the flasks was of uniform shape and size.
Next, I took out the herbs I had gathered that we're used to make healing potions. Even her they weren't rare and only served as a good warmup exercise before I started making real potions. Half an hour later I had completed around two hundred healing potions of superior quality and was ready to process the pearls.
