Chereads / Reincarnated Into A Girl / Chapter 3 - Eggs

Chapter 3 - Eggs

Chapter 3

The alarm started beeping. I sighed, slapping my hand onto the top of the alarm clock to make it stop making that wretched noise, I stretched, grunting, it felt so good to stretch right after you wake up. It was like releasing all the tension in your body and letting it out.

Hmm, I had such a weird dream last night, I had gotten hit by a bus or something and had been reincarnated into a rich, petite blonde-haired girl. Ha, like that could ever happen.

Sitting up, I looked around the room, and flopped back down, ugh, crap. It wasn't a dream at all, I'm actually here, in a girl's body.

Rolling out of the bed, I got up, sigh, and glanced at the alarm clock, 7:02 am, ugh, yeah, this isn't my life, I would never set my alarm this early in the morning, even if I had classes.

This is my life now, I guess, whoopee, I'm so happy. I'm using heavy sarcasm, very heavy sarcasm.

I went to the closet and changed my clothes, I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a crop-top and tank-top. I slipped off my pajamas and put them on.

Running my hand through my hair, I paused, ugh, I forgot I had long hair, I ran my hands through my hair a few times until it looked like I had at least tried to brush it. I gathered the loose strands of hair and threw them in the trash.

Walking out of my room, I went downstairs to the dining room. I was earlier than everyone and there was a note on the table.

Grabbing it, I opened it:

Dear, Mortons,

As requested by Mr. Morton, I am taking my 3-week vacation. I have prepared the meals for today and tomorrow. Just not breakfast because most of the breakfasts I make do not taste good after a few days. I left some easy recipes on the fridge. Please do not burn down the house trying to cook. I hope you survive.

Sincerely, your cook, Mrs. Dalton.

Putting it back down, I walked to the fridge, opening it, I looked for some eggs and butter. I found the eggs and butter, closing the fridge, I put the stuff down gently.

Grabbing the bowl and pan, I turned on the stove and placed the pan down on it.

Cracking an egg into the bowl, I opened the butter wrapper, grabbed a knife, and sliced a piece of butter off, then put it in the pan. I slid the butter around so it coated the pan. I put it back down and grabbed the bowl.

Slipping the egg into the pan, I cracked open another egg and slipped that one into the pan as well.

After I put the other 2 eggs back into the fridge, I turned back around and watched the eggs sizzle for a little more than a minute before turning off the stove and grabbing a fork to drag the eggs onto my plate.

As I turned around, I almost bumped into Sam, and she asked, "Can you make me some eggs, too?"

I sighed and handed her the eggs, "Here, have mine. I'll make more." I was glad I hadn't cleaned my mess yet.

She smiled, "Thanks, Alice."

Nodding, I smiled, "Your welcome."

Making two more eggs, I sat down with Sam and ate my eggs next to her.

Then my twin brothers came into the dining room, "Alice, did you make eggs? Can you make some for us, too? Please?"

Slouching, I mumbled, "Yeah, sure, just let me finish this first." I quickly finished off the last bits of my eggs and headed back into the kitchen, then I walked back out again, asking, "How many eggs do you each want?"

Boys were like black holes, you put food in front of them and it disappears in a matter of seconds, and they will ask for more, I have personal experience with that. I was a boy myself after all.

They both held up 5 fingers, okay, that was going to take a while. I sighed again, "Okay, give me about 15 minutes and I'll have your food. Do you want scrambled or sunny side?"

Jesse answered, "Sunny side."

Alec said he wanted scrambled eggs.

Walking back into the kitchen, I grabbed 10 eggs and put butter on the pan, I made two at a time, and each batch took about 2 minutes to cook.

Switching off the fire, I grabbed the plates and handed the plates of food to my brothers, "Here is your food, if you want more, make them yourself."

Turning around, I went back into the kitchen and started grabbing the dirty dishes and placed them into the sink, the helpers were going to clean up the rest for use, I might as well make it a tiny bit easier for them.

After breakfast, my sister dragged me to the mall and made me try on clothing, pants, shirts, dresses, crop-tops, skirts, shoes, even bras, and panties. I really didn't need any more clothes, nor did I want any more of them. But Sam made me buy a pair of shorts and an underwear set.

I sighed, staring at the bad of clothes I had in my hands. What was the point of buying new clothes that I don't need?

We went to the food court and ate sushi. After eating sushi, we went to jewelry stores, Sam looked at bracelets, rings, earrings, anklets, expensive-looking hairpins, and necklaces.

In the end, she bought a necklace and a pair of earrings, she bought me a platinum ring, or at least she tried to. I said no, again and again, Sam sighed and said fine.

We went home after that.

When we got home, I unpacked the stuff I had bought, as I was pulling out the items, a velvet box fell out. I furrowed my brows, what was this? I didn't buy this, I picked it up and opened it.

My eye twitched a little, ugh, it was the ring. I walked to Sam's room and knocked on the door.

She opened it a little and asked, "Are you mad?"

Sucking in a breath, I sighed, "No, I'm not mad, I just want to know why there is a box with a ring inside of my shopping bag that looks exactly like the one I had said no to a few hours ago."

She opened the door wider, "Uhh, I don't know."

Poking her cheek, I squinted my eyes at her, "Don't lie."

She sighed, "Okay, okay, I just wanted to give you something. You are my best friend and my little sister." She looked at me, "Are you going to return it?"

Shaking my head, snd sighing, "No, I won't return it, just don't buy expensive rings for me, okay? Thank you for the gift."

She smiled and hugged me, "Okay, good."

I went back to my room, smiling. She's such an annoying person, I guess that is what family is, annoying, loving, and caring.

This was my life now, I guess I should enjoy it.

After placing the ring into my jewelry box and taking off all the tags from the new clothes I had bought, we had dinner. After dinner, I finished some of the makeup work, I decided I would do the rest tomorrow, then went to the bookshelf and picked a book to read.

At 11:12 pm, I finished the book. I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and took a short shower, it was still awkward and I still wasn't used to it at all.

Drying my hair, I brushed it out a little before heading back to bed and crawling in. I turned off the lamp next to me and drifted off into sleep.
