Chapter 12 - Bro Code : Keeping Bryant and Blaze in the dark

Blaze's pov

I had dated a lot of women and realised something most men may not have knowledge about. There were basically five types of women and all of them were equally and unfortunately dangerous to men.

Type A : Arrogant-snobby ones like Amanda Haughton

Type B : Bitch-bossy-badass ones like Briana Devine

Type C : Cute-absolutely lovable ones like Carina Rosemburg

Type D : Daredevils like Amerylla Morning-Dew

Type E : Evil stepsisters like Emma LeBron.

I sighed as I sat at the cafe waiting for her. I never had to wait for anything or anyone in life and yet here I was, burning with anger and waiting for a person who was crazy enough to jump out of a moving car.

And then I saw her as she walked in majestically, as if I hadn't been waiting here for almost 7 hours for her, I couldn't deny the raging anger that coursed through my veins at the sight of her but I managed to suppress my anger by thinking of a way to get back at her.

Nothing was more fun than getting back at a person for making you wait for hours for their annoying ass. A smile made its way to my lios at the sinister thought.

She stopped momentarily when her eyes landed on me and I raised a brow. Amerylla boldly took a seat beside me even though I could see through her actions that she was very surprised. She looked very beautiful in her loose outfit and she may have slightly reminded me of Audrey Hepburn.

I glared at her, but she looked down and completely avoided my eyes.

The exchange didn't take long, she slipped my phone to me and I was just about to had hers to her when I something caught my attention.

Trevon was there, sitting with Serial and judging from their facial expressions, they were in a deep conversation. Blaze suddenly became curious.

Meanwhile, Trevon stared at Serial.

"it's getting worse Siri, I met my date and she's very pretty. Then I met this really handsome dude called Eli, and of course I also met Elena Stilinksi"

Serial frowned instantly

"Really, what was she doing there?", he asked.

"She was Eli's date", Trevon answered with a slight tick in his jaw.

He was jealous but he would never admit it, not even to himself.

"Are you actually jealous right now?", he asked him.

Trevon frowned "What?", he shouted "no!"

"then why did you bother?" , he pressed on.

"I just felt bad for him that he was dating Elena of all women", Trevon simply answered.

"yeah?, so you, the king of nonchalance decided to help out a random guy because you felt sorry for him", Serial asked suspiciously "that is so not you Tray"

"yeah whatever, you know where my sexuality lies Siri and I don't like you questioning the fact that I like hoes and not twinks", Tray said in a serious tone "besides, you and I know Blaze is more nonchalant than I, he takes the crown"

Serial raised a brow at him, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"so are you going to tell me who set you up?", he asked Trevon instead but he only shook his head.

"anyway, have you heard from Bryant lately?. He's getting more distant than ever"

"I think something's up with him and I tried to get him to confide in me but you know how tightlipped he is...", Serial said in a worried tone.

Trevon only nodded. Serial's phone rang and he gave Trevon a unreadable look.

Blaze knew something was off the moment Serial excused himself to take a call. He eyed his third brother, Trevon as he sat there with a hand on his chin. Whatever that it was, it must be very serious if it managed to get Trevon in that mood.

"Are you going to hand over my phone now?", Amerylla asked him.

Blaze rolled his eyes, his full attention back on the woman before him.

His left hand craftily slipped down under the table to his black slacks and he felt Amerylla's phone in his pocket. A ghost of a smile lined his lips and then quickly disappered.

"too bad, I was stalling because I realised that I forgot to bring your phone along with me "

A look of surprise took over her features and slowly morphed into anger

"what?", she shouted shamelessly.

Blaze nodded, raising a fine brow and confirming his earlier statement.

He hid a small smile and watched her close her eyes briefly. Amerylla was just finding it a little too hard to believe that he left her phone at home and still waited. What was the essence of tgis meeting anyway and now he had his phone back while she was still without hers.

A sudden alarming thought crossed her mind and she immediately opened her eyes to stare at him.

"did you go through my stuff?", she asked with a frown.

Blaze glared at her

"No, of course not!, ots not like your life is very interesting enough to get me curious about you"

Amerylla let out a deep sigh of relief

"Good!, so how do I get my phone back?", she asked.

Blaze pretended to think, when he obviously already had a diabolical plan in his head. Still, he liked the look of anxiety written all over her face. Was there something in her phone he didn't have to see?. it made him curious at the thought and he smiled.

"Too bad, I'm a very busy man and today is the only free day on my schedule. I can't think of any day I'll be free this week so I'm not sure we can meet up this week", Blaze said politely although he was feeling like he had the upper hand "how about the weekend?",

Her eyes widened, "what?, I can't wait till the weekend!", she almost shouted.

Blaze only nodded in understanding.

"Fine, why don't you come to my office then, I'll have it there tomorrow and you can retrieve it"

A sigh of relief left her lips as she nodded vigorously to the suggestion.

"yeah, great idea....and don't tell you forgot it again tomorrow because God help you I will karate chop off your man parts and I mean it"

With that, she pulled out of her chair and left.

Blaze smirked at her retreating back and pulled out his phone to make a call.
