Blaze arrived late in the evening after meeting up with Bryant to talk about how secretive Tray and Siri were being. Bryant said he suspected that the two were perhaps up to therir usual tricks. It wasn't really a new thing that Siri and Tray were the closest among all four of them and they kept a lot of secrets including a person called Elena.
Blaze knew better than to ask Siri about those nude pictures form 6months ago and the other questionable chats from Serial's phone with this Elena. He hadn't told Bryant about it but he suspected that their secret meeting earkier in the day might have had sometging to do with this person, Elena.
He took a breath and decided to let it slide, he was the youngest and the one who actually didn't really care most about his brothers' private lives as long as they were habing fun.
At that thought, he contemplated about Amerylla's phone. He knew it was wrong but he had already made up his mind when he had called his secretary, Kate.
Too curious to tirn back now, he slid his finger over the phone to unlock it.
First, he went to her messages, finding it virtually empty except for a few bank statements. And he wasn't surprised that she was actually broke, she only had about 50 dollars in her account.
Next, he checked out her call log and shook his head when he all found were three names that she frequently called, Jayda, Shayda and Victor.
Blaze couldn't help the sudden pang that filled him at the thought of Victor being her boyfriend. The number of calls for that name was far more than the two others.
He was so annoyed when he was looking through her call log that he decided to check out pictures of her instead, maybe she had some cute selfies hidden away.
Blaze smiled at the thought. He tapped on to the gallery icon and began to look through her pictures. There was a picture of three women including Amerylla and a cake with a "happy birthday Shayda" inscription on it.
They were all smiling and they looked very close to each other like best friends. There was one however that shared a much closer resemblance to Amerylla, making Blaze wonder if she was family. She was in the middle and both Amerylla and the other one were pulling her cheeks affectionately.
Unknowingly Blaze smiled as he flipped to the next one.
The second one was a picture of Amerylla on her graduation day. She had chocolate around her eyes and in her teeth. She looked like a clown especially with her red lipstick and the tiny bit of vanilla icing on her upper lip, giving her a moustache. Blaze smiled again as he stared at her beautiful smile and bright eyes in the picture. Then again, those two women were beside her and smiling with her.
Blaze continued to check picture after picture, moving through the dozens of pictures. His eyes were slightly rolling into his eyelids due to fatigue when he stumbled on a particular picture that left him alert and wide awake.
A sinister smile immediately spread across his undeniably handsome face.
Meanwhile, I spent the night tossing and turning. That arrogant jerk was not a person I would usually trust but perhaps he was a tiny bit of a gentleman. He wouldn't look right?.
Next morning, I woke up with heavy bags under my eyes, it didn't help that my eyes felt like an entire box of pins had been scattered on them. I groaned the entire time I got ready to go to his office.
I was jobless at the moment and would have preferred to be lying around in my bed all day with my phone while I figured out my next move. But now, I had to go see Blaze Lockheart, for what it's worth, I hope he didn't forget my phone again because Lord have mercy I would shoot him in his nuts and not regret it ever.
Taking a deep breath, I pulled on white highwaisted jeans, a pink crop top and black sandals and headed out. Just as I locked my apartment door, I spotted my sisters making their way over to my place.
"Oh crap", I cursed and immediately tiptoed my way to the corner of the building where I could hide. What are they doing here so early in the morning and without even calling to let me know that they were coming over.
I get that they were looking out for and I understand but I finally accepted tge fact that being the kid amongst siblings is very stressful. Everyone thinks you are the baby they need to babysit, like if they left you alone you might fall over your heels and die by breaking your neck.
It wasn't like that at all, I could very well take good care of myself but I can't argue that out with them because then, they might probably considwr moving in with me. And I didn't want to risk this small amount of freedom I have because I took months of convincing to get them to allow me to move out of our old shared apartment. Now Shayda lives with her friend Janice and Jayda is as usual being very secretive about her life.
I sighed when I saw then pass by unsuspectingly and watched their retreating backs. They were most likely here to bug me about my inability to maintain one job for a week. Tiptoeing out of my hideout, I made my way for the stairs and then out the back of the apartment building.
I hailed a cab and immediately climbed in, i gave the address about 20 minutes later, the cab pulled over infront of a huge exquisite building covered in glass. It was a marvel and I may have stared at it longer than I intended to.
And then I found myself heading towards it and making my way through tge glass dpors to the receptionist's desk. I guess it's time to meet Mr I-forgot-your-home again.
"Hello, good morning. I'm Amerylla Morning-Dew and I'm here to see Blaze Lockheart, I have an appointment with him"
