'Mr. H' I gasped. "You scared me. God". He laughed and walked towards me. He took the bag from me and put it in his car. "Hop in I will drop you off. There is no bus at this hour." He told me. I stood there hesitating. "come," he said getting in the car. "stop laughing" I got irritated and felt so embarrassed. "Ok," he said and kept laughing. 'what's so funny in pouring my heart out' I thought. I walked over to the car and got in. 'an arrogant character made that good face, so useless. Why? all good-looking people are the same' I thought.
He was wearing a black shirt and jeans with a beige trench coat. He took a hoodie from the back seat and threw me them. "Put this on, it's really cold". I hesitated again for a moment and then put them on as I couldn't stand being cold. "I'm going to the lighthouse, do you wanna come?" he asked me. I sat there sighing. There is nowhere else for me to go too, hostel gates would be closed. if I enter now I would be in trouble for being late. I can't go home either. Where else to go then. I argued inside my head and then I looked at him and nodded. "Go anywhere. I can only get back in the hostel tomorrow morning or else I would get into trouble."
"Do you know right now you look really pitiful?" he said.
"shut up and drive," I said again sighing.
He took off and drive slowly. We sat in silence for a long time. 'when he was speaking with someone I felt sympathy but now nope. How dare he laugh at me?' I thought.
"Are you okay?" he asked out of the blue. This is the second time he is asking me this today.
"Hmm, yea. Why wouldn't I be." I tiny bit expected him to apologize for laughing. But he didn't. and I left the thought completely. He stopped in front of a grocery store and went in. he came back with a pack of canned beers, some bag of chips and a bottle of wine. 'so many drinks? But thank god for the food. I'm starving' I thought.
He got back in the car and kept the drink in the back seat. "Let's go. Its gonna be a long ride"
"why aren't you going home?" I questioned him.
"I'm in no better condition than yours." He stopped his answer in a single line and drove. I didn't ask him anything further and sat silently until we reach the beach.
