Chapter 5 - 5

We reached there an hour later. It was 11.30 at night. Almost midnight. I took the purse from my bag, took some money and phone and kept in my jean pocket. I carried the chips while he took the drinks. He took a blanket from the car and brought along. "what are you going to do? Sleep? wait is this car or your closet?" I mocked him and walked ahead not waiting for his reply, laughing. I stood near the waves without letting them touch me even though It was dark and couldn't see anything. The lights on the walkway were not enough to see the sea in the night. And in the end, I saw the lighthouse he said is good a view. He opened the wine and gave me, while he opened a can of beer and began drinking. I opened a bag of potato chips and gave him. "you must be hungry, you skipped lunch." He didn't deny and took them from me. I opened another and had myself. the only that I do properly is eating a lot. I sipped on wine only once in a while afraid of being boozed trying it for the first time ever. 'why am I drinking. Why didn't I deny it.' "Come let's go," he said and I followed him. We walked around 20 minutes to our way to the lighthouse. "Man it's so far, what the heck. You could have parked in a road near it then!' I said panting.

"Just a bit more. Come." He said laughing again. 'wahh is he in some kind of happy mood.?' I thought irritatingly. 'dumb' I cursed him following his footsteps. After another 10 minutes of walking, we reached the steps of the lighthouse. 'wow,' it was really tall and big. the sound of the waves hitting the rocks non-stop. I carefully climbed on the steps and we reached the top. It was beautiful, windy and a best hideout for a person who loves loneliness. There was a small room there. He opened the door and kept it wide open. There seems to be an old big couch and a wooden table and chair there. He seems to know the ways in there. Then he took some candles from the table and lighted them with the matches sitting there. He dusted off the couch and I covered my nose. He kept the drinks on the table. He moved the couch towards the door to get the view of the sea and sat there. I walked with the wooden chair and put It in front of the couch. I sat on the other end of the couch and kept the wine and chips in the chair. Munching them once a while. My head was already heavy with a drunk feeling and half the wine seem to have gone from the bottle. I looked through my phone and I literally didn't have any messages apart from some I really avoid. 'I'm I that a loser' I thought closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. I kept the phone in the chair and leaned back in the old couch.

"I think you come here often," I said to him after some time.

"yeah more often, at situations like this. But this is the first time with a company though." He said finishing his sixth can of beer. Even in this dim light almost drunk, he looked perfect enough to do a Vogue photo shoot with his good build body and well-dressed manner. My heart skipped a beat and I looked away quickly before he could catch me. I ate the rest of the chips hoping to cure my heavy head and caught him looking at me, smiling. 'why is he smiling, maybe he caught me already' I wondered.
