As I watched the last of the intruders disintegrate into thin air, my brain tried to process all that had just happened and disputed it. I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed, I was most likely daydreaming, I wish. Carly stood still and looked around while my eyes remained close to her, my body still couldn't move.
"Tch! Couldn't they have used the front door? Look at the mess. Bella, are you hurt?"
All the while Carly spoke, she didn't move an inch from the spot she stood to kill the girl. Her burns were all healed up, there was blood trailing down the side of her lips that she had tried to clean up but all she succeeded in doing was to worsen it. Now, there was blood all over the side of her lips and chin instead of a line of dark blood.
She was looking at me strangely now and that's when I remembered she had asked me a question. I willed myself to speak but it came out as a growl. "I-I am f-fine." I managed.
