I heard the door close with a low click, I sighed. I was tired, my stomach wanted to remind me we skipped lunch because it chose that moment to growl, loudly. I ran my hands through my hair as I stood thinking. I had a choice; the living room or my bedroom. I chose without second-guessing.
I walked to my bedroom once again. I unconsciously slowed just as I reached Carly's door, looked at it, and wondered if I should go ask my questions now but I decided I would do that after eating, I was starving.
My brown door looked very inviting as did my bed. I didn't think about it, I threw myself on it. I laid on the bed and kept my gaze on the ceiling absently counting the roses. Halfway through it, I heard my dad come into the house. I jumped out of bed and out the door.
