My supposed aunt has been living with us for the past week and the last time I saw her was the second day. She has never stepped out of her room and I have never seen anyone take dinner or breakfast to her. I asked my mum about it one time and she evaded the question.
It was summer, so I didn't have to go to school. Actually, there wasn't any school and since I fell sick my parents said no to summer camp. Mia had to go all by herself, I felt bad but she was quite understanding and had been a little frightened when I told her the incident around my health.
I still found it a little worrying that I couldn't discuss issues of my Aunt Carly with her. No matter what I did she always evaded the question. After days of trying I gave up and now I just pretend there wasn't a stranger living in my house.
To be honest, it was a lot boring, being by myself wasn't something I was used to. True, I like solitude and my own company but too much of it was something I couldn't stand. To make matters worse, my parents hardly came home on time.
I switched off the television, there were tons of things to watch but nothing could hold my attention. I wanted to go out but I could not, at least until my parents were sure I won't collapse on them again.
I picked up my phone and saw that I have three new messages, all were from Mia. The first said;
Hey babe, hope you're good. Day three at summer camp sucks, I am glad you couldn't make it well maybe not so glad but this would bore you to death. Hope you're feeling so much better now. I love you so much.
The remaining messages were complaints on how she couldn't stand the boys and other girls at the camp. She also went on and on about how she missed me and terribly wished I was there too.
As soon as I was done reading I sent a reply that was equally as long as her messages were and I set my phone aside. I wasn't expecting a reply anytime soon for phones weren't allowed during camps but as always Mia always found a way to sneak one in.
I sighed loudly and sank further into the sofa I was lounging on, my expression glum. I wished I was somewhere else or had some company, at this point even my Aunt Carly would suffice but I had no intention of knocking on her door. I wasn't that desperate.
My cell phone made the ping sound that I found soothing. It was both my message ringing tone and my alarm's. I checked, it was a message from mum.
Hi sweetheart, just checking to make sure you're alright. Do drink plenty of water and don't skip your meals. I love you.
I giggled at the message, my mum was so typical. I quickly texted her back reassuring her that I was going to do all the things she mentioned. I clicked send and that was when I heard a loud crash, I screamed as glass poured all over me. Almost simultaneously I am completely surrounded by folks dressed in black.
I cower in fear, I fold myself trying to appear smaller as I sink some more into the sofa with hopes that less harm would come to me. I look up and did a quick headcount, they were about thirteen in number, their faces were completely only their eyes shone back at me and it gave me the creeps. I quickly brought my gaze down as fear course through me.
"Where is she?" One of them asked. He was pretty tall and his voice was so sweet I was tempted to tell him everything I knew except I had no idea what he was talking about. He was leaning towards me and I could smell something flowery, I wondered if he was their leader.
"Looking for me?" A voice asked before I could think of a response.
I jerk my head up towards where the sound came from. It was my Aunt Carly, I wanted to scream out her name but for some reason, I couldn't speak or move for that matter.
"Well, well, well! If it isn't the princess herself. I got to say you're pretty, pretty hard to find." The supposed leader said he held a long chain due to his structure I could tell he was male. Even though he had on a face mask I could tell he was grinning as he spoke.
Princess?
"Bella, are you hurt?" She asked me ignoring the intruders. Her question jolted my attention back to the situation at hand. When she saw that it wasn't that I didn't want to answer rather I couldn't. "Are you kidding me?" She yelled and face palmed herself. "I know you're human but these are weak altereds, they shouldn't be able to have that much control over you!"
In the few days that she had spent with my family, this was the most I have ever seen her angry. Her face was contorted in the scariest way ever, their were lines on her face for squeezing so hard, her hair flew in all directions even though there was absolutely no wind and I could literally see her glow.
"You've got some nerve, Princess!" The one with girly perfume spoke again, the rest just stood still like statues, not even their excessive articles of clothing moved. He pronounced princess like one would something distasteful as if he had phlegm stuck I'm his throat. "You must be blind to the fact that you are greatly outnumbered."
"Don't panic, just make sure you're breathing properly I'll get you in a few seconds."
Her sentence erupted laughter from all thirteen of them and one of them made to cut me with an ax. It was a female I could tell, her chest was almost a D cup and her structure was quite curvy. Her eyes gleamed as she gently raised the ax and brought it down. Somehow I found my voice and I screamed once again.
