Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

A home is a safe place, a warm haven where your most pleasant memories are engraved in the very material that it's made out of. I would have probably liked my home, secure with sturdy metal bars that are cold to the touch, but then the workers would come.

"Come here, girl. We'll take good care of you and make you beautiful. All you have to do is come out of there. Hiding in a cage is no fun, is it?"

They'd always try and lead me out of the cage, even going so far as to put my food right outside of it. They were always so scared of me, yet they were so bold that they once stopped feeding me for a week in order to coax me out of my cage. I didn't budge, of course. The only time that I stepped out of my cage is observation time when they didn't come out to drag us to the room. It was a cold jail cell, but it was my home. It's funny how my restraints were also what kept me from danger. I made a promise though, so of course, I'd escape.

To do that, I need to sacrifice everything.
