NOW Shirley was a full grown 23years old lady, living a sister life and having the time of her life.
As if that was not enough, she was now made the leader in charge of the organizing department. Meaning, she was responsible for the organizing of every ceremony and occasion in the cathedral.
She was so happy when sister Rita, the new Reverend sister, appointed her as the leader. On that faithful Sunday, she was congratulated by all and sundry.
Now, there was a festival coming up and she had to take the responsibility as the leader. The worst part of it was that the eldest nun in the cathedral had to be convinced that Shirley was agile and a responsible worker. She was a no nonsense nun, every other sisters respected her, even other eldrely nuns honored her. She always wanted everything to be nothing less than perfect. Shirley had a lot of work to do.
"The send-forth of our new site is in progress"the elderly sister reminded Shirley.
"I know" Shirley replied.
"And what's the date?"the elderly sister wasn't convinced at all.
"On the 21st of July" Shirley replied.
"That'll be three months from now"the elderly sister confirmed. "...and you'll have to put everything into place" Mama Miya concluded.
"Ye -"
"And it should be perfect" Mama Miya interrupted her.
Shirley groaned as Mama Miya left rudely.
"Sorry" sister Caroline said coming in.
"Thanks" Shirley replied sighing.
"That's how she behaves. But once you've convinced her enough, she'll love you for life"Caroline assured Shirley.
"I was once happy that I was the leader of the organization department but now,I'm not so sure" Shirley said regretfully. "No, sister don't regret. Don't worry we'll work together and I promise I'll try my best to make her like you" Caroline assured her again and they hugged.
Caroline really helped Shirley as she promised. When they were both less busy, they worked hand in hand and gradually, became friends.
The relationship between Shirley and Mama Miya continued getting ugly but Shirley hoped on with Caroline by her side, that the D-Day would prove her trust worthy.
