Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

"oh virgin Mary mother of God -"

"I forgot it!" And without thinking, she ran back to the cathedral. Holding her long apparel from getting stained.

By the time she got back to her room,it was already another thirty minutes late. Opening her room door, she saw the box right where she placed it. Quickly taking it,she ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Considering the time at hand and the consequences of messing up,you can say she flew.

Mistakenly and almost immediately the box and her almost fell inside a pool of mud,but almost at the same time, a person quickly refrained her from falling inside the muddy gutter by hugging her tightly, leaving the box at their middle as she held it with both hands, wondering what just took place as her senses came back. Looking up,their gaze caught each other. "Paschal!" She could barely mutter his name out.

She quickly pulled from him and ran to the venue.

As soon as she reached, she heard the speaker sound, thus; "and now let the leader, sister Shirley bring the schedule list to be shared around" with a pounding heart, she walked forward.

Meanwhile Caroline was already melting down and looked at the stage in dismay. She pitied Shirley for her fate and talking of the devil himself, all of a sudden she saw Shirley from nowhere giving the mc the box and they all applauded her. Caroline was more than happy as she stood up and applauded Shirley. She knew she could count on Shirley.

Shirley's heart kept on hammering her chest faster. The sight of Paschal fully disorganized her. In fact when sister Miya came to congratulate her,she just looked into adapt space. Sister Miya saw the surprise coming and only smirked, not knowing Shirley was suffering from something worse battling with her mind in her inside.

She was scared to take that path home.

And when everything was over and the sisters were going back to the cathedral, she kept on looking around through the bus side glass for any sight of Paschal. But to her surprise, she didn't see him. At long last, she breathed.
