"Hello,this is my life. My father harassed me,my mother is a helpless and dependent one that has no say of her own,my sister Chloe doesn't even know who I am,my brother Max thinks I'm possessed and even my dog Jasper,despises me. My name is sister Shirley" she said.
"By the power vested upon me as the priest of Agnes cathedral,you are now a sister" priest Richardson said and everybody stood applauding her.
That was the end of Joey's bad lucks.
Now, she became a lively,happy and hard-working sister named Shirley. Good thing she didn't tell anyone in the church about her real name.
Thursday came and went and she didn't escape. In fact, she forgot about the script and everything that had to do with it.
Years rolled by and her family didn't come for her and finally she became a free independent 21 years old lady.
One faithful day,she got a crazy idea in her head and decided to stroll as a normal girl and not a nun.
She took off the sister's apparel and wore floppy gown that made her look decent and looked at herself in the mirror. Now she looked like another different girl. Not Joey,not Shirley,but little did she know that she looked like her senior sister Rachel and coincidentally she said; "my name will be Rachel today".
She strolled passed houses, buildings,parks and boutiques. Happy and steady as the wind, greeting everybody she saw and patting every stray pet she saw.
In fact,she looked adorable.
Who could ever tell she's had a despicable past? One would think she just won a lottery looking at her.
As she walked by, she mistakenly got her earring hooked on a guys collar,the stranger tried to pull but she shouted out of pain; "no! No! Ouch! Please, don't go further" she said, trying to pull his collar from her earring.
Their hand clasped against each other uncountable times and then she decided to remove her earring off her ear after minutes of trying to pull it. "Wait,I'll remove the earring" she said and forcefully removed it, which made the pin to fall on the floor.
While the stranger tried to untangle his collar from the main earring, she tried effortlessly looking for the pin of the earring on the floor. As she picked it and stood up,he was already through with removing her earring from his collar. It was then their eyes met simultaneously.
"Thanks" Joey whispered.
"No probs. Let me wear you your earring" he said
"no, don't worry. Besides my ear is hurting now" she flinched.
"well,it's nice meeting you. I'm Paschal"he said, gesturing his hands for a handshake.
"I'm -rachel" she shook with him and quickly withdrew.
"Ok. Bye. I hope we meet again" he glanced at her and left.
Joey felt confused feelings and decided to go home for the day.
She pulled off her gown,took a quick shower and wore back her apparel.
"That's all for now Rachel. You're back to sister Shirley" Joey said.
