"What does Dad want to discuss with me so urgently? Is that related to yesterday's events? Rudy and the doctor's said that I saw illusions but I didn't see any of them after returning home. So what I experienced was an illusion or a reality?" Louisa questioned her reflection in the mirror.
Louisa walked into the shower shedding her clothes. She let the cool water soothe her body. She rubbed her hands all over her stomach and stopped tracing her fingers when she touched the lower part of her abdomen. Her fingers didn't move an inch from the place and Louisa stared towards her flat belly.
Even though her mind started reminiscing the memories, Louisa stood erect without any expression.
"Nothing is going to change if I keep on feeling sad for the things that took place. Even though I can't come out from them I should be strong enough to do my daily tasks," Louisa yelled in the shower to calm her blabbering mind.
She quickly did her bath and wore the bathrobe. She stepped out into the bedroom and a dress is hanging on the wardrobe.
"Aunt Flora for sure," she said looking at the pencil cut knee-length olive colored skirt paired with a burgundy colored semi sleeve blouse.
Louisa applied the moisturizer over there all over her hands and wore the clothes picked by her Aunt Flora. She walked towards the giant mirror to set her skirt on point
"Come in," Louisa shouted when she heard a knock on the door
Flora walked in with two other women who will be in their past 20's
"Lou, they are here to make your hair and get you ready," Flora said when Louisa arched her brows at them
"Aunt Flora, I am going to the office and not on a date. I can get ready by myself in a normal way. I don't want others helping hand in this," Louisa stated
"I know that you can get ready but we are paying them salaries for this job and they are professionals. You just close your eyes and get seated in this chair and give them some time. They will do their job," Flora said pushing Louisa into the chair lying opposite to mirror
"Aunt Flora, Dad is waiting to discuss something important with me. I don't have time for all these," Louisa said standing up from the chair
"I know Sir is waiting for you. I came here only after meeting him and he said that he will be waiting for you at the backside of our garden and there is absolutely no rush. So take a seat and allow them," Flora said moving the chair near to the mirror
"I may win over everyone in the world but I will always lose before you," Louisa sighed
Flora laughed at that and ordered the girls to start their work
"Don't put too much makeup on me. I don't want to look like models on the Vanity fair and don't do any experiments with my hair. I want everything simple so do it simply and make that fast," Louisa ordered them
They looked at Flora listening to Louisa's words. "Yes Lou, they will do everything as you want now close your eyes," Flora said closing Louisa's eyes
"Do as I said, but keep that simple. Don't think too much and start working," Flora said patting the girls
Flora walked towards the couch and sat there staring at Louisa who is leaning back in her chair in a relaxed way. She is observing every detail of the work the girls are doing for Louisa
"Lou, don't fall asleep," Flora said chuckling when she saw Louisa's head slipping from the headrest while the girls are working on her hair
Louisa yawned listening to the words and tried to open her eyes but stopped doing that listening to Flora's words, "Their job is not done yet. You better keep your eyes closed"
"Girls, please do this fast. I have a lot of things to do," Louisa whined irritated
"We are almost done Madam, a few minutes more," one of those two girls replied to her
"Yes Louisa, you need to be patient. These girls are doing their work and you can't rush them. They need their time," Flora supported them when they looked at her for support
"What am I supposed to say when you have planned an act of revenge on me like this," huffed Louisa
"Madam, we are done," the girls said to Louisa
"Finally," huffed Louisa standing on her feet. She got the shock of her life looking at her reflection in the mirror. She stared at the gorgeous lady in the mirror who is looking pitch-perfect with the side-partitioned hair curled at the end, the makeup looks all right on the face and the highlighter added grace to her cheeks.
"My God Louisa, if someone looks at you today they will just follow you until they get you. You look so beautiful," Flora said looking into Louisa's eyes
"Stop it for heaven's sake Aunt Flora; how many times should I tell you that I don't want anyone in my life. That chapter is long closed. Don't you remember the ruckus happened in this home? Did you forget the reasons why we became like this? Why do you want me to get near to someone just like the one who gave birth to me? Why can't the person I love most too doesnt understand me?" Louisa yelled in pain
Flora shocked hearing to Louisa's words. She can't believe that the girl she brought up was shouting at her. The girls who were there listening to the screams slipped out of the room due to the heat rising there
Tears brimmed Flora's eyes and she looked down at the floor and started wiping them before the tears touch the ground.
Louisa immediately regretted the slip of her tongue, which made Louisa cry. She banged her head with her hand and walked towards Flora
"Aunt Flora, look at me; please look at me," she said pulling Flora's face up
"I am really sorry for yelling at you. I shouldn't have done that. I got vexed with people trying to pair me up with some or other and now I vented my anger on you, which is very wrong. But I am seriously sorry for doing that," Louisa said to Flora
"No Louisa, you are not wrong. I am the wrong one; I shouldn't have crossed my limits and shouldn't have said all this to you. Sometimes I just forget that I am just a senior maid here but nothing more than that," Flora said looking down
"What are you saying, Aunt Flora? Did I or anyone in the house treat you like a maid? You are the family; you have more rights than anyone in this house to say anything to me. I am so stupid that I don't have control over my words, but please don't tackle that into your heart and hurt yourself. You know that I never mean this. Please ignore those words and give me the Aunt Flora special hug," Louisa said extending her hands
"It would be better if I stay away from you young Madam, It would be better if I had been in my place and I will rectify my mistake from now on," saying that Flora started walking away from the room
"Aunt Flora, please stop in your tracks; Please," Louisa yelled running behind her
"Yes Young Madam, do you need something?" Flora questioned turning back
"Stop speaking like that Aunt Flora. You need to understand the fact that none of those words came from my heart. Why can't you understand that?" Louisa yelled
"See Madam, I am hurting you by staying here, I don't want to do that. So I am leaving," Flora said walking away while Louisa looked at her wide agape.
