It didn't take long for Kenzo to get a job. The local Blacksmith took him in without a second thought. The local Blacksmith once again proved that he had an eye for people as Kenzo was a great worker. Not only did he not complain about working in the heat, but was a fast learner. Kenzo's 6'3 and well-built stature made it seem like working as a Blacksmith was easy (which of course is anything but easy.)

A few weeks later and Kenzo has yet to see either the 'mysterious disappearing beauty' or the 'fairy boy'. While walking through the market her heard a few people talk about Yua, who appeared to be a young lady of marriageable age.
"It will be Yua's birthday soon, I will make sure she chooses me to wed." "Has she had a marriage interview with you yet." "Don't talk silly, who would deny Mitsou (shining man)." ..in a low voice, "Yua would." "What did you say?" The man who said Yua would reject Mitsou, spoke up explaining, "Yua has rejected every marriage proposal, even from men richer than you. What makes you think she would accept you?" Everyone in the group was stunned to hear what the young man said, even though it was true. Mitsou, "I am not only wealthy but handsome as well. Many women fawn over me." "She hasn't," said the young man. The man who was opposing Mitsou has been in the town for a while and respects Yua and her family, knowing that a stuck up rich man will never have Yua's hand in marriage. Even though the town has grown, Yua and her family were still well known throughout.

The following day Kenzo asked the Blacksmith if he has heard about a lady named Yua marrying. The blacksmith said she is the daughter of Kenichi and Hayami (rare and unusual beauty). Looking at the Blacksmith with a questioning look, the Blacksmith began to explain.
Kenichi is a great martial artist and a knowledgeable, respectable man, his wife Hayami is as beautiful as a flower, full of grace. Their daughter Yua is a spitting image of her mother and has the wits of her Father, ah but well, the poor girl has to be tied down to the home once she gets married. Confused, the Blacksmith, continued to explain. "See in between you and me, I know her father also taught her martial arts. When I arrived in town he had asked me to make a lightweight dagger with a jade stone. He paid the price for it to, no complaints. Of course, he didn't say who it was for, but I knew once I met his daughter; she has green-jade eyes. You say it is a coincidence that he wanted a dagger the color of his daughters' eyes. Well, you see, I came to this town when it was still small and everyone knew each other, well they still do for the most part, but back then it was easier to spot a stranger. That is how I knew it was for her when I happened to see her out after the sunset, leaving the Kenichi Residence. And it had to be Yua, even if she was covered with a hooded cloak since the person I saw was small in size and they only have one child. I do not know if she still goes out though you see back then all of these homes were nothing but forest land (pointing across the street and down the road). Now she is all grown up, if you know what I mean, it would be hard for her to be able to go out at night without being harassed and if someone found out she could fight, well in this country that would not be a very pretty sight for her family as a woman is supposed to be good in the home, not in martial arts. Making it harder to find a marriage partner. I also doubt Hayami, would have allowed her daughter to continue learning martial arts. Hayami was known as the town beauty back then and even now I personally haven't met anyone who is as beautiful and talented as her. She is like a graceful swan, beautiful and kind. (laughs) her daughter might be the only one who could compare to her mother as she is just as beautiful and kind."
Kenzo took all of the information in; green eyes, young, and a lady. The Blacksmith described his 'mysterious beauty' as well as confirming that she was also the 'fairy' he saw in the forests as she is able to fight. It seems to have been forever since he last saw her, that he had begun to believe that she was just in his imagination. He couldn't help but smile knowing that he wasn't seeing things and now he knew who she was. Kenzo asked if the Blacksmith knows where they live. The Blacksmith knows that Kenzo is a good guy so he gave him her address. On the next day off he went straight to her home.
