In the Vampire Kingdom,
Prince Vincent patiently waits for the arrival of one of his most trusted members among the 15 Elite Captains in the Vampire Kingdom, aside from his only sister.
Only Princess Sylvia among the royal children of King Avalon is part of the 15 Elite captains in the Vampire Kingdom.
A prestigious and highly respected rank amongst the army of King Avalon.
Each Captain is considered powerful and has great unique ability amongst the rest.
By the entrance of the castle of King Avalon, the platinum haired prince awaits the arrival of his best friend.
As soon as the huge gates of the castle opened,
The figure of a tall midnight haired man appeared with a meek shivering woman in her early twenties.
"At last! You are back! You got me worried if you were able to accomplish the task I requested for you. My dear friend, Ethan!" Prince Vincent greeted his friend with his arrival.
"It's Captain Ethan for you, silly!" Captain Ethan hugged the prince.
Immediately Prince Vincent looked at the woman that Captain Ethan brought along.
"Too bad, the red-haired did not survive! I thought she would win against you." Prince Vincent expressed his disappointment at the sight of the shivering woman.
"Sorry to break it down to you. The red-haired survived and this one lost. I barely saved her when she fell from the cliff. I have to report something to the king. Something unusual that needs his attention." Captain Ethan informed the prince.
"What is it? Tell me!" asked by Prince Vincent.
Captain Ethan looked around and there are no guards nor other vampires lurking around.
"I do not know how but the red-haired left the island during the daylight without getting burned under the sun. Being alive and able to leave the island in broad daylight is unprecedented at all in our history. That is why I need to inform King Avalon about this." Revealed by Captain Ethan.
Prince Vincent placed his right hand on the chest of his friend who was about to request for the presence of their king.
"Ethan, I would prefer you would keep this between us for now until we confirm that this red-haired newborn could really survive under the rays of the sun." said by Prince Vincent.
Then a confusion on Captain Ethan became apparent on his face, "Why would we keep this from the king? This is an important piece of information!"
"Remember I turned her! And I should be responsible for her."
"And… So …?" Captain Ethan still trying to understand why Prince Vincent would prefer to keep it from their king.
"My father has issued a challenge in determining the next heir to his throne. At the moment, me and my siblings are all in a serious evaluation by our father himself. So imagine if he finds out I acted carelessly with a potential unique newborn. My chances to be the declared as the official heir to the throne will be impossible. Instead, I will face my father's disappointment." Explained by Prince Vincent to his trusted friend.
…
His trusted friend, Captain Ethan is starting to think about the decision he has to make.
"Fine, but we have to find that red-haired!"
"Of course we will!" Prince Vincent embraced his friend for the relief that Captain Ethan will help him and has his back, "Thank you! I know I owe you big time for this."
"Do not worry! I told you countless times already. I will be your right hand and do whatever needs to be done for your sake. You have saved me from my peril and allowed me to be free from my late maker." Captain Ethan elaborating his gratitude to Prince Vincent.
After their exchange of pleasantries,
The son of King Avalon, Prince Vincent saw the shivering woman covered with brown coat and hugging her ownself from the freezing cold air caused by the powers of Princess Sylvia.
"What do we have here? Your name…?" asked by Prince Vincent.
A sad and curious tanned woman looked back at the prince and replied, "Sharmaine… my name is Sharmaine."
Curiosity came into Prince Vincent's mind, "So you are a survivor! Do you want to know, why I let you live?"
Sharmaine became curious as well and asked, "Why?"
"One of the abilities that I was able to copy is the ability of extreme sensory skill. To sense aura and energy essence. You and your red-haired friend exhibited such unique and extraordinary aura…" Prince Vincent explained to Sharmaine while he walks around her checking every inch of her.
"So I had an experiment that if I turn both of you into vampires and let you kill one another. With the power of illusion in making you see what I wanted you to see. I expected both of you to kill each other. And see who will emerge superior to the other." A vicious smile formed in Prince Vincent's expression.
Then a surprising slap was swung by Sharmaine but Prince Vincent caught her hand.
"How dare you treat us like your plaything? You murderer! Monster!" fearlessly said by Sharmaine.
"You are a monster as well, so do not act like you are some human. Too bad, you are the one that my friend had to bring along to present to me. Such a disappointment, your red-haired friend would have been a better specimen to have." Stated by Prince Vincent after moving Sharmaine's hand back to her side with such force that shows his ruthlessness and lack of respect for women.
There is only one woman that Prince Vincent respected in his life and that is Princess Sylvia.
Only the more powerful being can earn Prince Vincent's respect.
If you are not a powerful one then for him you are worthless and undeserving of his respect.
"Speaking of abilities, she has a unique ability as well." Suddenly revealed by Captain Ethan.
This revelation took Prince Vincent's interest, "Oh, really now? What is it? I wonder!"
"She is still unaware and has no grasp of controlling it. But when I found her by the bedrocks, she transformed into a fish exactly like the fish surrounding her. I guess she has an ability to copy animal forms," further revealed by Captain Ethan.
"If that is her initial ability, there is still room for evolution. Her abilities can evolve so I wonder what lies beneath in her beastly abilities." Prince Vincent wondered as he listens to the revelation of Captain Ethan.
"Being alive is fortunate for you, after all! Sharmaine …" declared by Prince Vincent with a sinister look on his eyes.
