Chapter 25 - Are You Sure You are not Jealous?

As the bell rang, Virginia Tassk had no other option, but let the students leave.

Sarah went to her seat with confident step and packed her things.

- Are you sure you have come up with this solution on your own? – the teacher asked when all the students left.

The young Zlo, who was now the only one remaining, slightly looked up, facing the lady.

- Of course I am sure I found it. It's not my first year of studying math after all.

- Mind your tone Ms. Zlo! I'm still your teacher after all.

- And how come then you have never thought of this formula before? It's way more convenient and if you ask me, the answer gotten is more accurate.

- So you are questioning my knowledge in the field?! How bold of you!

- Of course I am! You are the one telling me none other than me has used this way of solving before! How could that be, when it combines some of the most used formulas out there!

- Maybe because it's not correct! – Tassk couldn't find another argument for this short time, therefore splat this one out.

- Not correct?! – Sarah was not pleased with what she heard.

She had used this way of calculating ever since she ran away from home and started living on her own. She had used it in many situations and it had never let her down. But how could she say such thing out loud? If she did so, not only would her real identity be uncovered, but her mission would fail as well. Even the thought of it was a risk on itself.

- Not correct?! – Sarah repeated – If you are so sure in my inaccuracy, then how about you find one problem for which it won't work!

- Fine! Nothing makes me more glad then proving some spoiled rich kids with bad manners wrong!

- Good luck with that! – she then took her bag and stormed out of the room.

The same did the teacher, but their directions were different. Sarah was heading to the Biology lab, while Tassk was walking furious towards the teachers' room.

- Why is that grumpy expression on your face? – asked a woman when Virginia got inside.

- Just guess!

- Was it John Belia again?

- I wish it was him! He would have been much easier to deal with!

As in every school, National Academy Preotkrivane had its bully too and that was John Belia. With all that he has done so far, all the teachers disliked him and if it wasn't for the fact that his father was one of the main sponsors of the school, he would have been kicked out long ago.

So when Tassk entered the teachers' room in such anger, the first thing Eve Prina – the biology teacher, thought was that Virginia had had a class with this awfully uncontrollable boy.

But apparently this wasn't the case.

- Then what? – Ms. Prina couldn't bare her curiosity.

- That Sarah Zlo! She is unbelievable!

- Sarah Zlo? Why does it sound so familiar?

- She is one of the three students who entered in senior year.

- Do you mean the one who scored second?

- Yes! That's her!

- Wasn't she one year younger? If she is too much behind what is the problem of giving her a place in the class she originally is supposed to be?

- That's the problem! She is not behind! – only now did in the voice of Tassk sound with some kind of softening.

- What do you mean?

- She has come up with a completely new formula, which is probably even better than most of the ways of calculating.

- But that sounds as good news! Why are you angry then?

- Because of her attitude!

- Her attitude?

- YES! She speaks as if she is some kind of superior!

- Are you sure you are not juts jealous? – Tassk and Prina were actually close friends and therefore the last said that with somehow playful tone.

- Jealous? Me?

- Yes, you.

- Aren't you having a class with mine now?

- So what?

- Than you will be able to see for yourself!

At right that moment the bell rang.

- Dang it! I'm late! – Eve stormed out in the hall, running towards the lab.
