[A special chapter]
Castle, (five years old) finds a kid probably the same age as him sitting on the wet and dirty ground not too far from their house, his body and face full of bruises and dried blood. He runs to him in worry.
"Are you okay?"
The kid just stared at him, wide-eyed and trembling. He could fully see the bruises. He can't help but to wince. It must have hurt.
Castle's mother then sees them and offers the young kid to their house. He still won't stop trembling.
"Mommy, will he be okay?"
His mom sigh as he look at the kid sitting on the sofa.
"Mommy, please cure him!"
"I'll try, okay?" She pats her head and approaches the bruised kid.
The kid, upon seeing her with a medicine kit begins to be hysterical. He screamed the words "I'm sorry" and "it's painful." over and over again. Castle stared at him shock without even realizing the tears falling down on his cheeks.
Minutes later, the kid calms down and is now sleeping peacefully on his mom's lap. Castle carefully walks near them.
"Mommy, is he okay?"
"I don't know, baby." She answered truthfully as she slowly pats her shoulder.
"Why did they do that? They're so mean!" Tears started falling again when he finished saying those words. His heart really feels pain seeing him hurt like that. They don't know each other but it feels like they have a connection already.
"You're such a nice kid, Castle. You're making me proud." His mom says as she wipes the tears on his face.
The kid then flinched and started mumbling words again. His mom, pats him back on the shoulder lightly as she sing him a children's song. The kid falls asleep again.
