"Where are we?"
"An underground city."
"What!? Wait... This is a dwarven city! We logged out. Right?"
"Yeah. But… Why are we here?"
"We logged out. I don't know why we are here."
"Could this be a secret server for us, set up by the devs?"
"Maybe. Whatever let's just log out."
But when he opened it and pressed the log out button.
"WTF! It's not working!"
"What!? Wait... Huh!? What!? All our items are gone!"
"We are also been reset to level 1! We only had three active skills available to use excluding the racial skill! What is this!?"
"Our… Equipments are gone except our main weapons."
"What the fuck!?"
"The devs must be trolling us!"
"Yeah! Whatever! Let's find a way to escape this nightmare set up by the devs!"
They then walked around the place.
"Hey NPC can you tell us how to get out of here?"
"NPC? Huh!? The city gates are that way! Get lost!"
"Ugh, usual dwarves. Guys. I don't think we could leave the server like this. Let's just wait for somebody to remove our headgear."
"Yeah."
They then walk again throughout the town and one of them saw something interesting.
"Guys. All of our passive skills are still here. Do you think?"
"Go on then."
"Alright!"
"Ugh. Mirio really loves blacksmithing."
"You said it right Benedict. It's his real-life hoppy after all. But instead transferred all his knowledge here in the game."
"Yeah, yeah."
"Guys."
Their party leader called them. Arnold.
"What? Arnold?"
"See over there."
"Huh?"
"Ho! It's starting! These dwarves will have their jaws dropping when they saw his art, haha!"
"Yeah, for sure."
"Guys. I'll buy a drink. Want some?"
Their craftsman. Michael asked.
"Yeah, thank you bro."
"Alright! I'll be buying then."
And Michael goes to find a shop.
The blacksmithing contest then now started. Their objective is to create a fine sword.
Every dwarf took their desired ingots and started heating it up.
They had four options
Steel, copper, iron, or bronze.
Mirio took a bronze ingot and heats it up. Which is really
"Hey guys."
"Oh! Michael! It started. Uh… Why did you get so much food?"
"Let me tell you. This all costs only one gold coin."
"Eh? Seriously?"
"Strange, isn't it?"
"Indeed. But let it be. Let's watch the NPCs' reaction. I can't wait."
"Yeah. They'll be seeing the grace of Hephaestus' successor."
"Haha! Exhilarating."
When it is in the right heat. They started the hammering process.
"Wow!"
"Hey! Look at that dwarf on the far right!"
"Huh?"
"That dwarf! The last one!"
"Oh, yeah! What the? Do any of you know that dwarf?"
Mirio hammers it elegantly with his main weapon. Which is a hammer that could change its size.
"37 perfect strikes! Look who we got here!"
The announcer said.
"Whooaaa!!!"
Every dwarf are in awe.
"Haha! There we go!"
"Yeah. Way to go, Mirio!"
"He can't help it, huh?"
After a while for hours since the hammering. They started the finishing touches. Metalworks are in the essence of every dwarf. They could stay awake for three days during that. So a competition like this exists at times. Only about 6% of the players had a dwarf character. And they are mostly miners and blacksmiths for their guilds. Because of that number. Having a good blacksmith, craftsman, or a miner in your guild is a must but a painstakingly hard task because of the small number of players. But the Invictus guild has the three of those players in their guild.
Mirio, the blacksmith. Michael, craftsman. And lastly. John. Their miner. Each of them is extremely good in their fields. The miner collects materials easily and the craftsman and blacksmith do their jobs. In all actuality, half of their weapons and items are created by these two. Luckily. They also had an alchemist who creates lots and lots of potions for them, convert useless materials into the best one using the philosopher's stone. This party always acts like a support but not everytime as all of them especially Arnold could take on a hundred players on their own. Arnold also acts as one of the two main tankers of the guild.
No dwarf had left since the start because of Mirio. Now that over ten hours had passed no one has still goes. Though it might be boring at times in dwarf players it is not for the NPCs. Especially when there is an excellent piece of art.
Lastly, the judges looked at all the swords forged After even though all of them are good. They are deemed trash when they all saw Mirio's. Mirio himself loves playing with the NPCs' reactions like this. So he always goes to places like forging shops to do so and of course always participates in places like this when there is one.
"This kind of work. This is not a normal one!"
One of the judges said.
"All the impurities of the metal are gone! This sharpness. This is a perfect sword! It easily comes close to the national treasures!"
"Really? My work does? For sure this kind of work is pretty rare in the game. Though I did not expect it would be like that."
"It is! Would you like to share your secret with us!?"
"Ummm…"
"Wait honorable judges! We must first give him his reward."
"Then. As a reward! I'll buy this sword from you for 700 gold coins!"
One of the judges spoke.
"700?"
Mirio replied
"Yes!!"
"Only?"
"Huh?"
"It's alright. You could have it."
"Eh? Are you sure you'll give it to him!?"
One of the judges is enraged. Such a treasure would simply be given away?
"No fair! There are four of us! Only one of us would have your work?"
"Alright. Um… I'll forge for all of you next time."
"Really!?"
"Yes. You could call me next time. I am Mirio. Nice to meet you all."
"Then. I am Sikdrot."
"Yes. Nice to meet you all. By the way. I have to go. My friends are waiting for me."
"Uh… Y, yes…"
And he left with his friends
