Chapter 19 - chapter 19

Roop's POV

"What am I to you? A plaything? That you can play with whenever you are bored as fuck and throw away when you see something more seductive and interesting? You claim that you love me but you cannot see me grow, but expect that I, your wife, would be unbothered to see you sleeping with a lowly woman? And now you're holding onto me because you are scared to be lonely" A lady with brown doe eyes accused the man she called her husband.

Roop can't see the face of the man clearly, her visions were blurred. She rushed to the couple but they did not seem to notice her. She turned to the lady and asked, "Madam may I know what is wrong here?" She didn't hear that so Roop tried to put her hand on her shoulder but her hand passed straight through her body. Also, the lady's eyes resembled here, it felt as if she was looking at an older version of herself. To say she was shocked was an understatement. She tried again but the same happened. She tried screaming but no one seemed to hear her.

She woke up covered in sweat. Roop's maasi came rushing to her room when she heard her screaming. She opened the door to find her niece sitting upright in bed covered in sweat and panting.

"Roop!" she ran towards her, "Baby, are you okay? what happened? Talk to your maasi beta..." she said handing her a glass of water.

She drank the water and then seemed to come out of whatever shock she was in.

"Maasi..." Roop said

"Yes dear, are you feeling better now? You don't have any fever, what's wrong?"

"Maasi, I had a dream... I..I saw myself, wearing traditional clothes, like the Indian Queens.."

Maasi chuckled and ruffled her hair, "That's because we are Indian and you are a princess my baby!"

"But maasi, it felt so real, like I was not having a dream but living it"

"Dreams are far from reality Roop, calm down.Goodnight, sleep now" She kissed her forehead.

Present day

After the date, Reyhaan drove me home.

Even though we had known each other since long and confessed today, we had no physical contact today.

"Oh, how was your day my dear daughter?" Dad asked as soon as I entered through the main gate.

Everyone was having evening tea in the garden.

"It was good dad, did you all sit here the whole day waiting for me?"

"Yes we did. Or else the bad tempered CEO of Malhotra Corp would have fired us all." Mom said and then everyone laughed hard.

"Ha ha ha Mommy, how funny" I said rolling my eyes.

"Come sit here." Said Maasi

I obeyed and sat next to Priti.

"Hey, what's the latest update on Mr. Singh?" Priti whispered in my ears.
