After awaking from a good rest, finding no live beast eating him or his food he checked on yesterday's enemy. It was dead. Its bones battered, its wings, broken, and its blood, draining. Well another thing, all things that live are yummy to goblins, so when they stop being able to resist (or die) they get eaten. So the Goblins meal was 1 bird beast, with 2 spores, with over 19 uneaten and still growing sprouts. The goblin could also tell some differences from a few days ago. It was simply bigger, needed less sleep, ate less, and was stronger. Anything else was simply unimportant.
He dug 4, 1 meter pits easily, unlike his previous best of 2, and cleared the rest of the ash from the cave. With his work done, his belly full, and his home safe, he decided of course, to nap.
His nap was superb, with no interruptions. He did his rounds searching all the mushroom pods and he found something strange. It was a a small green mass that expanded and constricted rhythmically. As a Goblin who was born without a tribe, one of two things can occur. The goblin will die horribly early on, or will be a special variant. Mr. Goblin was only unique in the sense that he wasn't unique. Statistically he couldnt survive alone. Without a tribe to teach him stuff(Like not to eat his brothers and sisters) a goblin is pretty stupid. So he decided to taste the green mass. It was chewy unlike the soft mushrooms and more akin to the ash goblins, if not a little softer.
But a goblin could never think that, they would think "My food submit to me..... I strong"

But over millennia goblins have attained instinct to pass from offspring to offspring. The most basic and a fundamental of Goblin society, is the stick. The stick is a tool of construction, combat, hunting, and beating other goblins for sticks! How amazing! Also concepts such as, big is bad, small is food, Adventure are bad, and so on. Simple stuff really. That is why Mr.Goblin is in search/waiting for a stick. It symbolizes all of ones power. Legends even speak of goblins using Sharp sticks, or spiked sticks, or even magic sticks. But such things are rubbish, who wants a spiked stick, everyone knows, bigger sticks are better. What better time to nap!
