Chapter 1 - The Legend Reborn

Long ago, a hero named Link saved Princess Zelda in the well-known kingdom of Hyrule. Link, an orphan, was raised with the help of friends and companions. Across the ages, many Links and Zeldas have emerged, tied by fate and a curse laid by Demise upon the hero and his descendants. Now, in the present day, we find two siblings training diligently, unaware of the destiny that awaits them."Focus on the goal! Don't let the robots get you!" shouted Tack, a teenage boy, as he concentrated on the screen in front of him."I know, big brother! Watch out for the traps yourself!" Carly, his younger sister, shot back with excitement."This game is tough, but we make a great team!" Tack grinned, barely avoiding another obstacle."Yeah!" Carly agreed, her excitement growing as they neared the game's climax.Suddenly, the clattering of armor and the sound of galloping horses broke the moment. The siblings froze. Carly's face paled as she glanced toward the window."Big brother... why are there guards coming to our house?" Carly asked, her voice trembling."I don't know." Tack frowned, getting up to check. As he opened the door, several guards stood before him, their faces grim beneath their helmets."Are you Tack?" one of the guards asked."Yes," Tack answered cautiously."We bear sad news," the guard continued. "Your parents... they've been killed. We don't know who is responsible."Tack's world went silent. "W-what?" he stammered, struggling to process the words."I'm truly sorry," another guard offered, his voice filled with sympathy. The guards bowed their heads and rode off toward the castle, leaving the siblings to their grief.Tack shut the door and turned, only to find Carly on the floor, sobbing."It can't be true... it just can't..." she wept, her small body trembling.Tack knelt beside her, pulling her gently into his lap. He began to hum a familiar melody, the same song their mother would sing when things felt unbearable."Don't be afraid, I'm here by your side,

We'll make it through, no need to hide.

Together we stand, through dark and through light,

I'll be your strength, you'll be my guide."

Carly's sobs softened as Tack's voice carried through the room."Always and forever, I'll hold you tight,

No matter the storm, we'll win this fight.

With you, I'm strong, with you, I'll stay,

We'll find the dawn at the end of the day."

Tack gently rocked Carly, his voice quiet but steady. After a moment, Carly's sobs quieted, but the pain lingered in the room."I know it's hard," Tack whispered, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "But we'll get through this. Together."Eventually, exhaustion overcame them, and they fell asleep. In their slumber, visions of ancient times began to surface. They saw glimpses of the legendary hero, Link, standing tall against darkness. His strength, his courage—it all felt connected to them somehow. Amidst the dream, a soft, distant voice called to them."Tack... Carly... you are the descendants of Link, the Hero of Hyrule. Come to Hyrule Castle. The princess will explain everything."
