As the siblings made their way across Hyrule Field, they stopped at various shops to stock up on equipment and food. Upon reaching the open plains, they realized they had no idea where their next destinations were.
"Maps! Get your maps here, only twenty rupees! Kooloo-Limpah!" called out a man dressed in a tight green outfit and floating with the help of a balloon backpack.
"Well, that's convenient," Tack said, rummaging through his wallet. "I've got only 5 rupees. That's not enough."
"I have 15 rupees," Carly said, opening her wallet.
"That's just enough for a map," Tack said, visibly relieved.
The siblings approached the eccentric man, who had a sign reading "Tingle's Map Shop" hanging above his stall.
"Welcome! What map would you like? Or perhaps you need me to decipher one?" Tingle, the man, asked cheerfully.
"We'd like a map of Hyrule, please," Carly said in a sweet voice.
"Of course—ARE YOU FIRE FAIRIES?!!" Tingle exclaimed, his eyes widening in both fascination and fear.
"No, we're Hylians, not fairies," Tack said, puzzled by Tingle's reaction.
"But you're wearing fire fairy outfits!" Tingle insisted. "Who are you?"
"I'm Tack, and this is Carly," Tack replied.
"I'm Tingle, and this is Tingle's Map Shop, Kooloo-Limpah!" Tingle said, accepting the rupees and handing over a map of Hyrule.
The siblings examined the map, searching for their destination. "Is that it, big brother?" Carly asked, pointing at a location on the map.
"No, that's the desert… never mind," Tack said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Oh, there it is!" Carly said excitedly, pointing to a fish-shaped building.
They rushed toward Castle Town. As they navigated through the bustling streets, they noticed posters announcing a "Royal Wedding at Noon Tomorrow."
"We must hurry!" Tack said, weaving through the crowd.
Leaving the town through the back entrance, they headed toward Zora's Domain. As they crossed Hyrule Field, it began to rain heavily.
"You poor children, you shouldn't be out in the rain; you'll catch a cold!" a woman said, rushing toward them with an umbrella. "Come with me inside my house."
The siblings followed her, feeling a mix of relief and caution. Inside, the house was decorated with pictures of ranch life. One photo showed a man in strange clothes petting a goat.
"Who's that?" Carly asked, hiding behind Tack.
"That's a past hero chosen by the goddess; he was the Hero of Twilight," the woman explained. "His name is Link."
"Link!? That's our ancestor!" Tack exclaimed, remembering Impa's stories.
"I see you're on a life-changing adventure. My grandmother used to tell me stories about this hero," the woman said as she handed the siblings towels to dry off.
Looking out the window, the siblings saw two horses playing in the rain. The woman called to them, "Charlie, Eeyore, come meet some new friends!"
"This white and black one is Charlie," she said, "and this gorgeous brown one is Eeyore."
"I'm Tack, and this is Carly," Tack introduced himself.
"Oh, I almost forgot my name is Elly," the woman said with a smile. "My grandma and the hero were close; she took care of his horses."
"May we use your bathroom?" Carly asked.
"Sure, it's down the hall, second door on the right," Elly directed.
Carly changed into her usual clothes: a pink shirt, a purple sweater, blue jeans, and sneakers. Tack changed into his white long-sleeved shirt, dark green hoodie, dirty white pants, and brown work boots.
"Wait, Carly, put this on," Tack said, handing her his hoodie.
Carly put it on, and the oversized hoodie swallowed her up. Tack and Elly laughed as the siblings headed back into the rainy fields, making their way to Zora's Domain.
At the entrance to the domain, they saw a sign that read, "ZORAS ONLY NO OUTSIDERS."
"HEY! Not another step!" a guard shouted, pointing his spear at them.
"We were sent by the Princess of Hyrule," Carly said, her face hidden by the large hoodie.
"Where was the princess and her help when the evil man attacked, huh?!" the guard spat, his anger apparent.
Realizing they might not get past the guards, the siblings turned away and searched for another way in. The area was surrounded by cliffs.
"Carly, get on my back," Tack said, kneeling down.
"Tack, why do you feel so wooden?" Carly asked, noticing the rough texture under her.
"Carly, that's a tree, not me," Tack chuckled.
"Blame your hoodie; it's too big," Carly said, climbing onto his back.
Tack carefully scaled the cliff, making sure not to knock Carly off. Once they reached the top, they crept closer to the fish-shaped building. They descended on the other side of the cliff and walked across a bridge leading to the entrance.
As they stepped inside, they were ambushed by four guards.
"How did you get in here?!" one of the guards demanded.
"We climbed!" Tack replied, taking a defensive stance to protect Carly.
"Take them to the dungeon!" commanded a Zora in elaborate armor.
The guards dragged the siblings to a cell in the basement and locked them inside.
"Tack, I'm scared," Carly said, tears welling up.
The siblings huddled together, their apprehension growing as they awaited their next challenge.
