2 weeks later,

Field trip, at the mountains,

They're inside a sports building with nothing inside unless a single small stage. It's really windy outside, almost everyone's wearing jackets or sweaters. The sky's gray and blue. Soft clouds decorate the sky beautifully. Red and orange trees can be seen everywhere. Their leaves fall uncontrollably, covering almost the whole ground. Nobody knows why the school wants the field trip on autumn… like, why not on spring instead? The mountains will be green and full of flowers… not too hot or windy.

"Okay, eleventh graders! I need you to form groups of ten inside the squares... Freely!" Mr. Harrison which is the PE teacher says, with speakers. He's standing on the small stage, wearing a cap. There's about 300 students here and there's 30 big squares on the concrete floor. Each team has to be inside the squares so that it's clear for who doesn't get a team.

Ansell and his close friends immediately teams up in the 27th square... Except Hernandez, Fernandez's twin, he's teaming up with his girlfriend's team. Something seems wrong... Ansell counts his team... Blake, Joe, Will,  Fern, Harvey, Calvin, Wren, Alessandro... Oh, no... "Sh*t, we still need one more..."

"Damnit Hernandez..." Wren mumbles, looking towards Hern who's all romantic with his girlfriend. "Where's Karl?" He asks. Karl is in their squad.

"He has last minute family business," Blake says, crossing his arms.

"Okay... I need all team to be ten persons in a minute! Look behind you! There's still a lot!" Mr. Harrison says.

Ansell looks behind and notices Seanan ... Looks like he hasn't gotten a team yet. It's no surprise, he has literally no friends. "Guys... How about Seanan Mitchell?" He says. His team immediately glares at him.

"He's better than the other," He says, remembering that because of Sean's skills and ideas and everything, the video was finished in only 4 hours and he got an A+. Turns out pairing with Sean was a blessing. His edits are flawless, like he's been doing it for years. "Trust me..." he looks towards Blake with a desperate face.

Blake knows that Ansell finished the project because of Sean's help. Ansell told everything in detail to him only. They're best friends since childhood, they're on the same basketball club. He knows that Sean isn't that bad... "Okay, b*tch... I'm with you," Blake smiles.

"Well... I'm ok with it..." Harvey says with his british accent. Everyone nods their heads, some agreeing some just following the flow, some just surrendering cause there's no more options.

Ansell smiles, creating his dimples. It's a miracle that no-one's complaining. "Sean! Come here!" He shouts. Sean's eyes widen in shock. He walks to the 27th square, with concern... Ansell pats his back... Sean just smiles sourly, is this a dream?

Sean just planning to get away and smoke... And probably take some photos or videos. But, this happened... He smiles happily for the first time in years. Is it because of the anti-depressants? Or is it because someone picks him?

About an hour later,

They're in the woods, hiking. The ground's just full of leaves and twigs, it's kinda rocky. "Guys... Let's go up" Fern pointing up at the higher forest behind the fence. Like always, he gives some stupid ideas that somehow everyone loves. Everyone literally agrees with him, well, except Sean. He just go wherever they go without even pay attention neither they follow the track or not.

Sean's just looking around, admiring the beauty. This forest is just underrated. He wishes that he brings his camera right now and film. If someone makes film on this forest,… it'll be a great film. But, what genre will it be? Horror?... adventure? Wait… he spots something. He squirms his eyes. Why is this forest getting so foggy and more rocky?

"Sean?" Ansell says.

Sean keeps looking at that thing, until he realizes… it's a grizzly bear. He widens his eyes and his heart skips a beat. How come this be?

"Sean!" Ansell tries to get his attention.

The teachers said that this is a wild animal free trip. He looks towards him... "W-where are we?" He asks, making sure that he's not hallucinating.

"We're not on the track," Ansell says. Sean widens his eyes. Blake just rolls his eyes while Harvey just smiles sourly, thinking what's wrong with this kid? And finally kinda knowing why he… don't have friends? "Now, we decided to split up... You're coming with us,"

"Now, let's go!" Blake says, moving deep into the forest. It's getting cloudy and windy...  you can hear the sound of leaves clapping one another... and the sound of small animals running.

"Umm... Is this o-okay? There's literally a huge grizzly bear there," Sean says, pointing at the direction where he spotted the bear.

Harvey smiles and says "No need to be scared... I'll make em fall. I have earthquake power." He creates a small eartquake on the ground to calm Sean down. "See?... I'm Harvey by the way..."

Sean sighs of relief. "I'm Seanan... Ummm... Are you British?" He says, wondering why he has British accent-ish.

"Yes. I actually moved here this year… now, I'm trying to blend in with your accent." Harvey doesn't quite like it if his accent is different from the whole school. It's like a goat in the middle of a bunch of sheeps.

"You d- don't need to… umm… I like your accent," Sean says as he takes the leaf away from his hair.

"That's actually very nice of you." Harvey smiles.

"What's his power?" Blake whispers to Ansell, tilting his head slightly towards Sean. Cause, who knows that it'll be useful in escaping danger.

"Black thunder, I think," Ansell shrugs, he doesn't remember every classmates' powers, only the weird ones. Blake raises an eyebrow...

"What's that?"

"dunno," Ansell puts on his How-am-I-supposed-to-know face. There's two types of lightning, black and white. White is the famous one and the usual lightning power you see on movies. Black is the infamous lightning, just a small amount of the population knows it... Calling it black lightning doesn't really suit everybody's tongue, so… people call it black thunder. "Hey, Sean… What can your power do?"

"Umm… that's long… Well… first of all… it reacts with anger… so, If I'm angry, like too angry… It'll completely surround me and make me a monster,"... that's the main thing about Black Thunder, it gives you some sort of a deficit. And that's why Sean rarely gets angry (because life forces him to).

Blake's eyes widen, looking towards Ansell and Harvey who are also kinda comfused. What kind of power is that?!

"Then... umm..." Sean stops and sees a black blob behind Blake… is it the grizzly? Or is it just a tree? He furrows his brows, wishing that he has a vision enhancement power. It might be an illusion or he's daydreaming… the forest is so foggy.

Suddenly, something growls behind Blake. Everyone froze, especially Blake. "Something's behind me..." he says as he feels a strong gush of wind behind him. All hearts skip a beat.

"Told you… bear... Run," Sean whispers... goosebumps rise all over them.

Harvey calms himself down and immediately makes an earthquake on the area where he hears the growl. The bear growls again, loudly this time, making it clear that it's a huge bear or at least an adult.

They immediately run, splitting ways... Panic rules over them... they could not believe this would happen. What are the odds?!
