Cindy got dressed super fast and went to the dining area. She saw Mrs.Robinson prepared only two plates. Mrs.Robinson noticed her expression and said, "he didn't wake up yet."
Robinson family had only Alexander and his mother. Mr. Eric Robinson,Alex's father had brain cancer and he died 2 months after he got to know Alex and Cindy got married.
Cindy casually said, "does he usually wake up late in weekends?"
Mrs.Robinson: Not really, he is very sleep deprived.
Cindy: oh.
She didn't show much interest on Alex.
Cindy started eating and shared small talk when her phone rang.
Matthew: I'm here.
Cindy: Already? I'm still eating my breakfast.
Cindy said with her mouth full of food.
Matthew: yes come downstairs.
Cindy frowned and hung up the call.
Mrs.Robinson gave a smirk and asked, "who is it?" as she sipped on her coffee.
Cindy: just a friend...
Mrs.Robinson: mhmm, you know you can tell me.
Cindy blushed a little.
Cindy: no he is just a friend, though he likes me...but I don't feel the same.
Mrs.Robinson: how did you meet him? Tell me everything!
Mrs.Robinson's eyes glistened as she looked at Cindy with attentive eyes.
Cindy: I met him in an interview... like you know I'm a journalist. My boss said to interview him. He is the CEO of Ultraviolet records. It was a 30 days interview and he was one of the celebrity. We became good friends in 30 days, now he helps me a lot.
Mrs.Robinson smiled and patted Cindy's head.
Mrs.Robinson: I'm glad you have someone by your side.
Cindy: I don't wanna take this risk anymore. I'm tired of being nice.
Cindy's face saddened as she talked. Her phone rang again.
Matthew: you do know your kids are alone at home right?
Cindy: In a minute!
Cindy sulked like an angry cat.
Cindy: okay mo-
Mrs.Robinson's eyes widened 'were you going to call me mom?' Cindy changed it instantly seeing Mrs.Robinson's expression.
Cindy: Aunt Carla, I'll leave now. Take care of yourself ok?
Mrs.Robinson gave a faint smile, "come to meet me often." Cindy nodded and left.

Cindy rushed downstairs and saw Matthew waiting for her beside his car. Most of the time he looked lively but today he seemed gloomy and zoned out. He didn't notice Cindy till she stood in front of him. Cindy looked at him with concerned eyes while Matthew just kept staring at her silently. Cindy broke the silence, "Are you alright?"
Matthew gave a fake smile and looked away.
Matthew: never been better.
Matthew opened the front door for her, "Get in".
Matthew drove while Cindy looked out the window silently. Trains of thought travelled through Matthew's mind, 'is she thinking about him?'
Matthew: what's on your mind?
Matthew broke the silence, Cindy looked at him and replied, "I never thought I'd cross path with them after 8 long years, they still don't know about Olivia and Owen."
Matthew: I got a confession to make.
Cindy chuckled.
Cindy: you still got something to confess after that.
Matthew blushed and recalled about the time when he asked her out.
Cindy: you were so drunk.
She giggled covering her mouth.
Matthew: yeah ok I won't tell you anymore.
Matthew's face turned red .
Cindy: sorry sorry tell me what is it?
Matthew: Remember yesterday I told you I saw you for the first time in steak n winery?
Cindy: yeah.. what about it?
Matthew: well I kind of sent people to find information about who you were...
Cindy burst out laughing and said, "Wow I didn't know you were like the typical CEOs of dramas."
Matthew: make fun of me all you want.
Cindy: ok sorry sorry then what did you do?
Matthew: then I recalled that I got an invitation from your office about 30 days interview so I accepted it with a condition.
Cindy raised an eyebrow and asked, "what condition?"
Matthew: I'll accept their invitation if you interview me...
Cindy leaned on her seat,"you really tried a lot!"
Cindy: I was still new at that time, they hesitated a lot!
They both looked at each other and smiled.
