Chapter 8 - She could sacrifice him to Satan

Owen got out of the bathroom and found Matthew waiting for him.

Owen: Uncle Matthew? Where is Mommy?

Matthew sighed.

Matthew: She had to leave urgently for some work.. it's ok tonight you both will stay with me!

Owen excitedly said " really!!? Yaaay!!"

Matthew faked a smile. He was worried. 'Who was the man she was with? The way she answered him wasn't quite like herself. Would she tell me the truth if I asked her?'

Matthew's head was bursting with questions.

Owen: Uncle!

Matthew: huh, yeah?

Owen: we should go Olivia is waiting.

Matthew: oh yes, let's go!

Cindy was lost in thought when the driver stopped in front of Alex's residence.

Driver: miss we're here.

Cindy came to her senses.

Cindy: oh thank you, how much is the fare?

Driver: 100 bucks.

Cindy picked up her bag and thought 'wait why am I paying it's all his fault!' and looked furiously at Alex who was sleeping soundly. She bent toward Alex and took out his wallet from his back pocket. She opened it and was surprised seeing a picture. It was a family picture they both took when everyone got to know they got married. They all looked so happy.

She smiled a little then thought she shouldn't take the money.

(Wow sweet Cindy)

But then her anger overpowered her sympathy and she took out the money and handed it over to the driver.

Cindy: thank you for your service.

Driver: no problem miss.

She looked at Alex. There was no sign of waking up from his face. She got out of the car and pulled him out way too hard making him fall on his face.

Cindy: oh shit!

She tried hard but she had zero strength to pick him up. She looked around and saw a cart.

Her eyes glistened as if she found a pot of gold. She picked Alex up with the last strength she had and put him in the cart. It was way too small for his 6'2 body.

Cindy: you owe me a big time! You bastard!

She pulled the cart and got in the elevator.

While they were in elevator she noticed there was a cut on his forehead due to falling on his face.

She stared at it till it was disturbed by the sound of elevator reaching 5th floor. She pulled Alex out from the elevator and searched for 502.

There were 10 apartments on each floor and 502 was pretty far from elevator. She kept pulling it.

Alex's eyes fluttered and slowly he opened his eyes. Everything seemed blurry and his head hurt a lot. He rubbed his eyes and saw he was inside something and someone was pulling it.

'It's a girl...' he looked carefully and gasped

'IT'S CINDY!'

Alex: What are you doing here? Where are you taking me?

He said as he gulped in the lump he felt in his throat.

When she heard he woke up Cindy stopped.

When she turned Alex gasped harder. Her veins popped up from anger and her eyes had hellfire in it. She could sacrifice him to satan right now for a glass of water.

Cindy: you're asking me where I'm taking you?

She looked down, Alex had seen her angry before but right now he knew he is dead...

She started laughing like a maniac and stopped. She stood there silently Alex didn't dare to speak. After 5 minutes of silence Alex gathered some courage to call out her name.

Alex: Cindy...

Cindy: SHUT UP!

It was so loud everyone in the floor could hear, but no one cared enough to come out and look.

Cindy turned toward Alex while he was trying to get up from the cart. Sound of knuckles cracking sent shiver down his spine. It would've been bearable if it was someone else but it's Cindy.. hitting you.. in anger..

Alex was sweating heavily as if he is in sahara desert. When Cindy raised her hand to hit him, sound of slamming door echoed in the hallway then soon they heard Mrs. Robinson.

Mrs. Robinson: CINDYYYY

She came running in the speed of bullet train and hugged her tightly.

Mrs. Robinson: YOU'VE GROWN UP SO MUCH! YOU WERE SO LITTLE LAST TIME WHEN I SAW YOU! wait...YOU ARE 26 NOW! MY CHILD!

She kept kissing her face and hugging her till she looked at his son, who looked like as if he is thanking God for having a mother like this.
