Everyone was busy carrying out the task that was assigned to them. In the midst of this all, someone shouting could be heard. When Edward heard of the commotion it was causing, he asked Night who was just beside him:
"Night, who is this person making all the ruckus?"
"It's Wolf, the one who Daisy used to be together with"
"Oh?" Edward was stunned upon hearing Night's answer. It turned out to be Daisy's former lover.
Not thinking much, Edward rubbed his muddy hands across the grass and stood up. He walked towards the screaming Wolf.
"If it isn't Wolf Cloud Tribe. Hello friend." Edward smiled and greeted Wolf.
Wolf looked tall and mighty compared to Edward who was his total opposite. Wolf had come along with three other people from his Cloud tribe.
"Who are you?" Wolf asked him while raising his brows.
He was shouting for Daisy, trying to find her and instead this strange man greeted him. Wolf felt strange that Roc, Daisy's brother didnt show up instead.
"I am a friend of Roc and Daisy. I am also the leader of the Flying Eagle tribe." At this moment, Roc and Debro also came over and stood beside him.
Looking at the surprised Wolf, Edward continued:
"Is it deer that you want? Please don't blame Daisy. She was only scared due to her pregnancy and made such a rash move. In order to express our goodwill and apology, I am prepared to compensate you."
Edward spoke while continuing the lie Daisy had told Wolf previously.
Meanwhile, Roc signaled Roc to be prepared for any fighting.
Edward went towards the front where several deer were hanging of a trunk.
"We have just peeled their skins. There have nothing broken and are fresh. You can pick anyone to your liking."
Wolf was shocked by the spectacular scenes in front of him.
'They…. How? From where did they got so many preys? And the name of Daisy's tribe has changed and who is this new person who has become their leader?'
Wolf thought to himself in wonder.
Wolf had never seen such a lively scene of everyone working so happily in any tribe before.
He saw piles of wood, a large amount of meat, water being drawn from the surrounding, and old people playing with children. Everyone was busy and happy….
The more Wolf thought about it, the more he was amazed.
There were several tribes nearby in this area and compared to them, Daisy's tribe had always been on the weaker end. They barely had enough to eat but the scene in front of him shocked him. He had visited the tribe quite a few times before but he had never seen such a scene that was occurring before his eyes.
'However, I have not brought back any prey for a few days. Even the leftovers had been finished. The tribe has already begun to complain and my competitors are waiting for a chance at the sidelines. My chance for the seat of the patriarch is in jeopardy!'
Thinking of this, Wolf blurted out:
"I want a few complete deer!"
By bringing back a few complete deer, it would be enough to feed everyone. Also, no one has ever brought back such prey before. This will make him look good in front of the old patriarch and secure his future leader seat.
"Oh, I can only give you one, that is the final compensation, and then we're even. Roc, you take him to get the prey."
Edward knew he shouldn't appear weak by giving more than one deer just because Wolf demanded it, Edward had to act arrogant even though they had stolen his prey.
He had other things to worry about too like quickly burning the pots so that he may boil water for Daisy's recovery.
Roc walked to another place with Wolf while he was teaching others to make fire.
Wolf looked surprised and pointed to the fire that had just been started.
"Roc, I once heard from a person from the southern tribe a few days ago that there is a God who only needs to click his thumb against his hand and there will be fire. Can you do this too…?"
"Nothing like creating fire out of thin air. We were taught how to create fire by Light, our leader. Now, most of the people of our tribe have learned the way."
"Roc, how do you hunt so many deer? What was your trick?"
In fact, this was the thing that was bugging Wolf the most. He wanted to learn how they hunted.
Compared to his sister, Roc was sincere and naïve. The moment Wolf mentioned how he got so many preys, Roc got the chance to brag. He patted Wolf's shoulders and said:
"These eight deer that we caught were all shot by my bow and arrow! Can you believe it? Hahhaha"
