Ariana (P.O.V)
We are studying for five hours and now I don't have the energy to study more. Even at lunch, he asked so many questions to answer. I wonder why dad kept him as a tutor? I think whenever I will be around him he is going to ask me questions or he will tell me to study. It's already 5 and I am not ready to go to the mall with Lisa.
"You have worked hard and I think you should get ready for shopping with Lisa," Jonah said after keeping his books aside. Did he read my mind? I got up from my study table and directly went into the bathroom. After having a shower I wore White jeans and a black top with a white thin blazer on it. I applied some foundation, mascara, and light pink lip-gloss. I wore my shoes and I laced them. I saw the time and it's already 5:54 pm. I walked out of my room and when I reached the hall, there was no one present. I headed into the kitchen and saw my dad who was cooking with Jonah. I don't know when Jonah started to learn cooking. I can see that dad is instructing him to cut Vegetables. I heard a car horn and I think Lisa is here to pick me up.
"Dad, I will be back after one hour or two" I announced.
"Take care" dad replied and I nodded even though he was not looking in my direction and concentrating on Jonah. With a shook of my head, I walked out of the house. I sat beside her in the passenger seat. She started driving as soon as I buckle my seatbelt.
"In the morning Ace called me and asked for you on the phone" Lisa suddenly blurted out. He even called me so many time but I ignored it.
"You should have picked his call," Lisa said again and I frowned.
"I was busy with something" I replied with a shrugged. I don't want to ignore him but I feel uncomfortable around him. After a few more minutes we reached the mall. Lisa parked her car in the parking lot while I'm waiting outside the mall. I saw Ace who was coming towards my direction. I immediately turned my back to him. I think he reached towards me and stood behind me because I can feel his presence.
"I'm sorry Ariana I mean I like you but I don't want you to ignore me and I want to be your friend like we used to be," He said softly then I turned to see him and started to talk.
"I didn't want to ignore you but after you proposed me I felt uncomfortable talking to you. I didn't pick your call because I was busy with something and I can be your friend." I explained in one breathe and he nodded with a smile.
"By the way, what are you doing here?" Ace asked.
"I came here for shopping with Lisa," I said, and then Lisa came towards us.
"Ace, what do you want? And how do you know that we are here?" Lisa asked him.
"I didn't know that you guys will be here. I was just passing by and saw Ariana. I wanted to clarify things between us. By the way, I have to do something so I will take my leave. See you guys later" Ace replied and walked away from us leaving me shocked and confused but I think it is best for both of us. We entered the mall and then she started trying to dress in the trial room. I removed my phone and saw there are five messages from Jonah. He sends me pictures by saying he is cooking food with Dad. I smile and typed congratulation on not burning the food. After Lisa bought the dresses, she started searching for a gift for Rain.
"What should I take for Rain? Give me some advice since you know him since childhood"
"You are giving a gift to him. You should know better and you know him as well" I reminded her and she huff.
"Hm…What about the guitar?" Lisa asked.
"He used only his favorite guitar and he has three guitars already" I replied.
"Then what should I give him?" She asked again and I rolled my eyes.
"What about Canvas shoe?" I asked her.
"Why do you think Canvas shoe?"
"Uh…today you are asking so many questions" I complained while crossing my hands across my chest.
"Actually I don't know whether he will like it or not" she stated with a sad tone.
"I think he will like it" I assured her.
"Okay then let's go-to shoe section" finally she agreed. Lisa is searching for canvas shoe whereas I am seeing heels which looks very beautiful. Suddenly my phone rang and I picked it up not seeing caller ID.
"What are you doing?" It's a very familiar voice. I immediately saw the caller ID and it's from Jonah.
"Do you have Amnesia?"
"I think you have"
"What do you mean?"
"Have you checked the time?" Immediately I saw the time and it's already two hours that means I am late.
"I just saw heels and it looks very pretty. I want to buy it but I didn't bring money with me plus I don't have credit or debit cards"
"Can you send me the picture of heels?"
"Why?" I asked in a confused voice.
"I just want to see because you are late only because you are seeing heels" he stated and I can imagine him rolling his eyes.
"Okay, then I will send you," I said because I don't want to argue with him in this matter.
"Co…" I hang the phone and I think he wanted to say something more. I took the picture of the heels and send it to him.
"Aari, I took the Canvas shoe to let's go and sorry because of me you are late"
"Don't apologize it makes me feel uncomfortable" I said sincerely. We walked to the parking lot when we reached there we both sat in the car and drove off. We reached home after one hour because of the traffic. I told Lisa to stay with us today. She agreed and she also informed her parents that she will stay this night with me. I took the keys and we both entered. I saw Jonah and dad who was sitting for us.
"Hi dad, Hi Jonah" I greeted them by waving my hand.
"Actually there was a traffic that's why we are late" Lisa explained with an apologizing face.
"Next time we won't wait", Dad said and stood up and went into the dining table while Jonah came towards us.
He took bags from our hands and he kept them on the couch. "You guys go and wash your hand, dinner is ready", he said and went into the Dining room. I don't know why they have such a serious look on there faces. What would have happened? I washed my hands and headed into the dining room with Lisa. We both took our seats. I sat beside Dad facing Jonah while Lisa sat beside Jonah facing dad. There are so many dishes kept on the table and now I am confused because I don't know what should I eat first. There are Tacos, cheesesteak hotdog, Buffalo wings, fried catfish, fries with vinegar, deep-fried pizza, and brownies.
"Dad, why did you cook so much?"
"I thought you have a big appetite" At this Jonah and Lisa laughed.
"Don't laugh at me?" I said in a serious tone and they stopped. After eating our dinner Lisa and I headed to our bedroom.
