Jonah (POV)
I got up to see the time and when I saw the time I rushed into the bathroom with my towel. It's only ten minutes to be in school. I quickly took a shower after taking the two minutes shower I quickly changed into my uniform. I moved to a guest room and saw Ian who is still sleeping. I quickly made a note-
Mrs. Garcia couldn't come today because she went to her village. If you want to eat breakfast you can go to the next house which is Ariana's house. You can have breakfast there I will inform Mr. Gonzales who is Ariana's Father. You can come to my school if you get bored.
From Jonah
I kept this note on the table. I rushed outside the house when I remembered Ariana. She goes to school with me but she didn't ask me to take her. With whom did she go? I think she went with Lisa. I got into the car and started driving I still have three minutes to reach the school and the good thing is today there's no traffic. I drove very fast to reach school but at the same time, I was very careful to see the road. I reached the school in four minutes and I am late. I rushed to the classroom and I saw time and it's only five minutes late and in my good luck, Ms. Patterson didn't come to the class. I saw Ariana who is chatting with Lisa and Rain. I made my way towards them and I sat beside Ariana since it was empty.
"How did you come?" I asked Ariana.
"By walk" she replied.
"You could have asked me," I said with a grin plastered on my face.
"I thought you won't come to the school again" she replied.
"And why you thought that" before she could say something Ms. Patterson entered the class.

After finishing four classes continuously it's lunch now. I went into the canteen and saw there's no one whom I know. Then this is the first time that I came first to the canteen. I sat on a chair then I took my phone and saw two miss calls from Ian. I contacted him and he picked in a few seconds. "Why did you called me?" I asked.
"I just wanted to tell you that I am in your school and I didn't get you but Rain, Lisa, and Ariana they are with me in the sports block," he said and hanged the call. I made my way to the sports block.
When I reached the sports block, I saw that Ian is playing basketball ball with Ace it looks like they are competing with each other. There are many students who are watching the competition and almost everyone is cheering for Ace. Now I know why the canteen is not filled with so many students. I went towards Rain when I decided to ask.
"Why they are competing with each other?"
"When Ian came to school he saw Ace playing basketball and he decided to compete with him" he replied and I nodded in response. I am not interested in sports much but Ian is a good player. He too wanted to become a basketball player. Ace thought it to become a few months before but Ian has the dream to become a basketball player when we were just a kid. Ace is a good player too but still, I think Ian is much better than Ace.
"Ian is not letting Ace take basketball," Lisa said and Ariana nodded. These girls are fully concentrated on the game while I took a history book and started to study. "If you didn't want to watch the match then why did you come?" Lisa asked. "I didn't know that there's a match going on," I replied. "Who do you think the winner would be?" she asked again. "Ian" I simply replied.
"You should be with Ace since he is our friend," she said while I narrowed my eyes towards her. "ok-ok I forgot that Ian is your best friend," she said while taking her hands in surrender. I closed my book when the match was over. "I told you the winner will be Ian," I said and moved out of the sports block.
Ariana (POV)
Its been two months one week and two days when Ian and Ace both decided to play basketball. Ian left for his state after two days. Rain and Lisa both are together they are among themselves in their own world. While I am all alone. I'm ignoring Jonah because... I don't know why but whenever he is around I feel butterflies in my stomach and I always blush when he is near to me. The whole week went by doing Assignments and other works. Dad is too busy with his work. He is thinking that I won't get a scholarship at university so he is working hard these days. He took a job in three coaching centers. I think I should also take a job when I go to university I don't want to trouble my dad. I am now in my room preparing for my exams. I am not able to concentrate today because of so many things in my mind. Tomorrow is my mathematics exam and I am perfect in it. Yeah, I am perfect since I worked hard for it those two months. But still, I should practice hard so that I can get a scholarship. I took a pen in my hand and started to practice.
"Ariana, dinner is ready" Dad shouted. I saw the time it's been five hours of practicing. I got up from the chair and went to the dining room. When I saw Jonah who sat on a chair. A big smile made into my lips since it's been a long time that we didn't have dinner together. I think Dad invited Jonah's family to have dinner. His parents came a few weeks before themselves. Yes after exams since he is too busy and it's become very rare to see him. I took a seat on a dining chair when Mr. Wright started to spoke.
"How is your preparation is going?" he asked while eating spaghetti.
"It's going good," I said sincerely.
"If you want anything you can ask Jonah," he said and I nodded.
"Ariana is working hard nowadays" My dad spoke. I don't know why but I don't have much appetite today. I should have asked my dinner in my room. It would be much better. I don't know why it's uncomfortable to sit along with him. I broke my thought when I saw Jonah keeping a dish on my plate saying "You try this too it's delicious" He smiled at me and I felt happy at that. But he kept salad on my plate saying it's tasty. After having dinner I went to my room and started studying for my exams.
Today we have our first exam and I prepared very well for it and I am confident to write the exam. I checked everything that I want for the exam. Yesterday at lunch dad told Jonah to take me with him for exams. So I am waiting for him outside my house. Finally, I saw him coming out of his house in his car. I sat inside his car in the passenger seat. He started driving when he started to speak. "Why are you avoiding me?" He asked with a hurt expression.
"I'm not," I said and he narrowed his eyes.
"Don't lie?" He said. This was the last conversation we had after that we didn't talk because I didn't reply anything after that and he didn't force me to speak.
He stopped the car in front of the school. I bid bye to him and then I entered the school.
