Jonah (POV)
Yesterday I learned some more dishes with Mr. Gonzales. He cooks very good and I love his every dish. While cooking I missed Ariana so much it was quite silent because of her absence. Mr. Gonzales didn't keep me bored he asked me so many questions like about camping, about my studies, Career and he also asked me about my parents. I miss my parents so much and still, there are two and a half months them to come. I am eating my breakfast which Mrs. Garcia cooked. I was having bread when my phone rang when I saw the caller ID it was from Ariana.
"Good morning" I greeted her.
"Are you free at two?"
"Yes. Why?"
"Today is Rain's birthday. I didn't buy anything for him yesterday because… I forgot my Credit and debit card at home and I didn't have much money in my wallet" She said. She went to the mall but she forgot her Credit and debit card and it looks cringe to me.
"Yes, I am free what do you want from me?"
"I only want you to come with me to take a gift for him since Lisa told that she will spend her whole day with Rain and I don't want to bother her. Can you come with me?" she asked.
"Yeah, I have to take a gift for him too since I didn't knew till now. I will be waiting for you outside your house be ready," I replied and we hanged the call. After having breakfast I went into my room and started reading a book. Yesterday Mr. Gonzales asked me to be a tutor for Ariana but I don't think it's necessary. She can study by herself.

I am now waiting for Ariana outside of her house. I told her to be ready but she is taking so much time to come outside of her house. I kept honking the car but still, she didn't show up. I took my phone out of the pocket and saw there are five miss calls from Mom. I called her back she answered my call within one ring.
"Mom, How are you? I asked worryingly.
"Everything is fine. I just want you to tell that we will be back after this month since the progress is good. We thought it would take six months but it's only taking four months." She said with happiness in her voice.
"That's good," I said with a grinned plastered on my face.
"I think your exams are near how is your preparation is going on?"
"Its good mom."
"That's great then. Don't hang out much keep focus on your studies" She said.
"Ok mom, Don't worry." I could hear some background voice saying it's an urgent call.
"Ok, Jonah I am a little bit busy. I will talk to you later. Bye, take care." She said and we hanged the call.
I kept my phone when Ariana showed herself. Finally, she came.
"Why did you take so much time to come?"
"I was busy with something important" I nodded leaving the topic. I started driving the car.
After we reached the mall I parked my car in the parking lot and when I saw Scarlett and Ace together.
"Hey, Jonah," Scarlett said after seeing me.
"Do you came shopping too?" Scarlett asked and I nodded.
"Did you came alone?" she asked again and I tilted my head saying no. She has so many questions to ask.
"With whom?"
"Ariana," I said. "A…" She was going to say something when I interrupted. "Don't ask me so many questions. If you want to do shopping with me you can join us" I said and she smiled at me.
"Then it will be good I didn't want to do shopping with Ace"
"Then why did you called me when I was doing some work?" Ace asked. I can see furious on his face.
"I don't have many close friends still and I thought you are my brother and you will definitely help me that's why I called you," Scarlett said to Ace. I wanted to stop them but Ariana would be waiting for me. I don't want to jump in the middle of this brother and sister and also Ace doesn't like me. I started walking towards the front door of the mall where Ariana was waiting for me. As I started walking Scarlett and Ace too started following me leaving there fight. When I reached the entrance I saw a guy who was talking to Ariana and the guy is very familiar to me. When I reached close to them I saw Ian who was talking to Ariana. How could I forget my best friend? I got so many best friends that I forgot my old best friend. He has black eyes and black hair. He wore a v neck t-shirt and blue jeans.
"Hey, dude what's up" Ian greeted me after seeing and we both hugged to each other.
"You guys know each other?" Ariana asked with a confused expression.
"Yeah we were best friends" Ian replied.
"What do you mean by 'we were' you should say as 'we are' and what are you doing here?" I asked with a grin.
"I thought you forgot me so I came here to see you. I didn't want to disturb you by calling you because I thought you would be preparing for exams but I was wrong. You are hanging out" He said narrowing his eyes.
"I do everything apart from studying" I reminded him.
"What is going on?" Scarlett asked.
"Let me introduce"
"Ian meets Ariana, Scarlett, and Ace," I said pointing to them. "And meet Ian my childhood best friend" I introduced them and they shook their hands. After that, we entered the mall.
We are doing shopping for one hour. Ariana and I were already taken a gift for Rain. I still don't know that Ariana and Ian what they were talking about? I tried to ask but they are too busy doing shopping. We are going to the food court since Scarlett and Ariana wanted to eat something. Ian is also with us. He told that he is going to stay in hotel but I told him to stay with me since it gets very bored by living alone in a house. We started eating our burgers. While eating Ian asked me that he wants me to hang out alone with him for sometime. He said that he has so many things to tell me. I told him that it will be fine if he tells in front of my new friends but he told me that he wants to talk alone. I don't know what he wants to talk about? but I agreed to him.
After eating our burgers Ariana, Ace, and Scarlett left for shopping. Ian and I together started to walk around the mall.
"What do you wanted to talk about?" I asked with curiosity.
"Nothing it's just that yesterday Salina called me through phone and she said you have changed and you always ignore her," He said when my curiosity dropped out.
"Why she is complaining you. If she wants to talk something she can come directly to me" I said. Now I got furious.
"You are ignoring her so how do you expect her to ask you directly?" he asked.
"She should have told you the reason," I said.
"What's the reason then?" I told him everything that how she intently spilled her juice on Ariana. He just said that "I knew that why my buddy will ignore others without any reason" I chuckled at his response.
"Then why did you asked?"
"To Know the reason" he simply said and didn't respond anything. I saw a familiar heel which was the same heels that Ariana liked it and she didn't have the chance to buy it. I pulled Ian in that shop with me. He asked me why am I pushing him in that section but I didn't reply anything. I took the heels and handed over to Ian so that others won't ask me questions. Ian too asked me that why I took those heels and I simply said him that he will know it afterward. He also said that he just came for two days but after completing school he will come again to apply to the same university as mine. We made our way outside the mall because Ariana called me through the phone saying they already finished their shopping. They are waiting outside so we made our way outside the mall.
