Ariana (POV)
We reached home in twenty-five minutes due to the traffic. We entered into Jonah's house. We three took a seat on a couch keeping our hands on a chin, thinking about the song that we should sing.
"Have you guys decided the song?" I asked.
"Yeah, I am singing The Way I Am by Charlie put" Rain replied.
"Good luck," I said.
"Jonah, what about you?" I asked.
"Nevermind by HRVY" he replied.
"Why do you choose this song?" I asked.
"Any problem?" he asked instead of replying.
"No, I just asked" I replied.
"What about you, Ariana?" Rain asked. I don't know what I should sing. I kept my hand under the chin and started thinking about a song. After a few minutes suddenly a song hit into my brain.
"Who's laughing now by Ava max" I replied.
"Ariana?" Rain called my name.
"Yes, I didn't hear your singing," he said.
"I know singing ok," I said. But actually, I am not that good at singing I thought to myself.
"Let's go in the music room," Jonah said he has a separate music room I didn't know. I don't know much about him till now. I thought to myself. Rain and I followed him. We entered into a huge room. A piano is placed in the middle of the room. There are guitar, drums, and so many instruments.
"Do you like music a lot?" I asked.
"I like but my favorite is to play the piano but my mom likes music a lot." he explained. Rain and I nodded.
We sat on a couch which was also placed on the corner of the room. Jonah started to play the piano and it was like a professional. He finished after a few minutes. Rain stood up and he started to play guitar. I know about him he loves to play guitar but he is also a good pianist. Coming to me I don't have that knowledge but I can sing well. The rain stopped playing guitar after a few minutes.
"Let's practice for competition" Rain announced with a grin.
"Aari, Sing a song. I never heard you singing" Rain advice.
"Okay, but my singing is not good," I said.
"I wonder what you perform in the competition" Rain murmured but I managed to hear.
"Okay-Okay," I said.
"Never-knew-the-sting-of-a-stranger" I was continuing but Rain and Jonah both interrupted me.
"Why are you reading?" Rain and Jonah asked.
"I am not reading, I am trying to sing," I said.
"Start with your rhythm then remember the music" Rain started to explain. After a long hour of practicing my singing is still not good. I watched the clock which was hanged on the wall. It's said 8:05 which means dad would be waiting for us.
"Let's go for lunch," I said and Jonah nodded while the rain started to speak.
"I am going home," he said.
"And why? I mean come to my house for dinner after all it's been months that you didn't come to my house for a meal" I suggested.
"Then I will inform my dad" he replied.
"I didn't meet your parents till now when you are going to introduce me to your parents," Jonah asked him.
"My dad is a lawyer he has always been busy with his work but he sometimes spent some time with me. My mom died when I was 7" he replied. Rain and I started moving out of the room silently because we don't want to recall the past. Jonah also followed behind us.
We reached my house and as I said my dad would be waiting for us and he is doing the same.
"Why you guys are late?" dad asked.
"We were practicing for a singing competition" I replied.
"Rain, after a long time you came for dinner. Have a seat" he invited him. We all sat on the chair after washing our hands. We started eating dinner.
"How is your dad doing?" dad asked Rain.
"He is doing well" Rain replied and dad nodded. From childhood, my dad likes him very much as his son.
"Jonah, have some meatballs" he served meatballs to Jonah's plate. After that, we had a silent dinner. After dinner, we watched TV serials and today dad said he will clean utensils. After watching TV serials, Rain and Jonah left for their respective houses.

Today Lisa is going to perform and I am excited about that because she is going to perform ballet. Jonah, Rain, and I are sitting in an empty classroom. While Lisa went for makeover and Ace went to practice basketball.
"Ballet dance is going to begin in ten minutes" Rain reminded.
"Let's go then" Jonah replied.
We started to walk in the auditorium. After reaching we saw there are empty seats in the front. So we made our way towards there. But, someone pushed me and Rain and sat down in one of the seats. When I saw the person she was Salina. I don't know what her problem is? We saw there were three empty seats in the second row. This time we rushed to catch the seat and we succeeded. There is so much crowd in here. The contest started after a few more minutes. The music has also started and the girl started to perform. After twelve people performing finally, Lisa is going to perform. Lisa came to the stage. When she took a position music has started to play. She extends her leg off the floor to the back of the body then she slowly puts down and she jumps in which front leg extends out of the side and up off of the floor while the supporting leg hops her extended leg then lands behind the supporting leg. She stays completely straight. She lifts to the higher level and moves at a slower pace. She finishes with a position in which her right leg is completely straight on her tips and left leg is touching her knees while her hands are in the air. The right hand lower than the left leg. I can feel that she is tired and breathless. She slowly stood in her both legs and started to move backstage. After more than ten performance it was finally completed. We are now waiting for the result. I hope she should get first because her performance was brilliant.
"The results are out" saying that the judges moved to the stage.
"Everyone did a good job but we all know the winners will be only three i.e. first, second, and third. We know that you all did hard work but the chosen are only the best three. So, don't feel bad if you are not a winner" judges started to explain and I don't know why they explain while announcing the winner. It makes me more curious to know.
"Now I am announcing the winner" finally he said.
"The third winner is Ms. Maria Martinez" One of the judges announced. In a second a girl came to a stage and a big smile spread on her face. She took her award and left after shaking hands with those three judges. I remembered her dance and was indeed good.
"The second prize goes to- Mr. Michael Hernandez" he came to a stage and rewarded the second prize.
"Lisa was excellent is she not getting any prize?" this was Rain who asked.
"She should win, She did excellently" I replied.
"And the first prize goes to..." he paused while we three were praying for her.
"Lisa pelt" he finally said after a long pause and we all shouted in excitement. She entered a stage with a huge smile on her face. She took her award and she shakes her with those three judges and walks out of the stage. We also started to move towards her in the back door of the auditorium. When we reached there she ran towards us and hugged me.
"Congratulations," we all three shouted.
"Thank you guys," she said. We together walked towards the entrance of the school.
